Links to Lazio winger/forward Keita Balde Diao have resurfaced. I've seen a bit of him and if he had a brain and used it, he could be another Sadio Mané. He does have one thing on his side........ he's the only player in Europe who is actually for sale............ I wonder what's wrong with him?
Balde would be an outstanding signing for us. As you say TFTB he is like Sadio Mane, perhaps more tricky and skilful but less direct. It seemed like he was Juventus bound but reports today say they have pulled out of a deal. Lets hope so on this one.
I think he only has one year left on his deal and thats why Lazio are prepared to sell now. I might be wrong though.
Correct. He wants to move to Juve so won't sign the contract. Lazio have told him he can move anywhere but to a direct rival. Hence our supposed interest. This summer will live long in the memory as the window of player v club.
He's a Senagelese international who plays for Lazio. I can see one obvious reason why he wouldn't want to stick around... Meanwhile, that source of all manner of informed and reliably sourced information Tribal Football is reporting that we're still the preferred destination of Schrödinger's Argentine centre back. At this point I'm begging someone to open the box to see whose kit he's wearing.
With regards to the potential Sanchez deal, am I right in thinking that he'd be our first Colombian player?
Yes and no. No because both Juan Pablo Gonzalez Velasco and Victor Zapata-Caicedo have been on the books in the past five years, but he'd be the first Colombian to actually play for the team.
Reports in Colombia are suggesting that Ajax's president has accepted defeat in keeping Sanchez, and Sanchez believes a move to Spurs could be completed within a matter of hours. (I can't find any quotes for this though).
please log in to view this image Coincidentally the film is remarkably similar to the experience of this summer transfer window...
I am not happy about this Sanchez kid allegedly doing a strop that we are boll*cking players for at other clubs. Especially Ajax, who Spurs seem to have a good relationship with.
To be fair to Sanchez, we don't know what he's done, as we're only hearing rumours. We don't even know whether there's been any contact between the clubs yet, IIRC.
As they say, a week is a long time in politics. But it's NOTHING compared to 48 hours with Daniel Levy
Physicists book time in the summer with clubs dealing with Levy, so they can conduct time dilation experiments to confirm Einstein general relativity predictions.
I reckon Joe Lewis slips Daniel Levy a quarter of an ounce of cocaine at about 11 PM on the 29th August every year and says for Fecks sake, sort out this transfer window thing. It might explain some of the Sissokoesque signings.
Certainly explains Zamora...Danny Murphy (Good player but rarely played him), Jamie Redknapp ...God...and Rasiak
