    Kyle Walker-Peters.

He has been unsettled today by the fact that some
of the PL MOTM this weekend are earning 40-100 times
as much per week as he does.

Who is getting £195k?. I assume you mean per week not per month or per year.

<laugh> Do you really think that Rose is the only one who is unhappy ?

Spuds had to fine him £130,000 to shut him up. That tells you that they are **** scared of others speaking out.

In fact it's reported that several players have privately expressed that they are frustrated with the Spuds and feel 'undervalued'

Apparently they were linking a story from the Mirror. It's debatable whether the reports that Rose got a hero's welcome are true. But i think it's pretty safe to say that he's not the only Spurs player who is going to question the wage structure at Spurs.

The massive fine on Rose is basically a warning shot to the other players not to go public with their frustrations. I think we'll see a big effort from Spurs to try and prevent anything like this happening in the public sphere again.

Privately however, I would imagine it's opened a can of worms.

They all knew when they signed that Spurs can't afford to pay the wages that many of the clubs pay. I think most of them have received regular contract renewals that have raised their pay quite substantially and are prepared to wait a couple of years to see what happens when the club's income increases substantially, and there are one or two who will stay regardless. The next two years are very important to the club so I am sure Levy will do what is necessary to have us in a position to move onwards and upwards. The more successful we are, both financially and on the pitch, the more he would be able to sell it for.

Every team makes a mistake mow and again. Shevchenko and Torres at Chelsea, Carroll plus others too numerous to name at Liverpool, Bravo at City , di Maria at United, several so called defenders at Arsenal etc. We just can't afford the number of mistakes that the others can. We have, however, picked up stars for a pittance and turned them into stars. Previously we have had to sell most of them to stay even remotely competitive financially. That may be about to change.

"Spurs had to fine him £130,000 to " teach the player to not
disrespect his current employer in such a public way.

"That tells you that" if other players feel as strongly about it, they
too will speak out this regardless of the financial penalties they
    will also receive.

They may have known what they signed up to, but the landscape is changing so quickly that it's bound to turn the heads of a few.

When you have players in the PL earning £250k-£300k per week compared to £100k at Spurs, then it's only to be expected that some will want parity with that.

I think you're right in that some players will stay regardless of the wages, but perhaps the bigger issue is trophies and whether Spurs can actually win one.

Contrary to HIAG's claim that football isn't about the trophies, most players are motivated by this first and foremost. With the addition of (relatively) small wages, it's likely to be a combination that will have some players looking elsewhere to get their needs met.
