    Is Van Dijk the defensive organiser that Liverpool need? I haven't watched him closely enough

    It isn't really a secret that in lovren's case Fonte organised the defense and Lovren was a point and shoot defender. This is why he has been shown up at Liverpool as for his fee he was expected to martial the defense

    Does Virgil do this ?

    Virgil was coached and mentored by Jose Fonte, we don't really know how well he will do without his expertise, best if you buy both if they are available.

    I wasnt aware it was as much, I thought Jose didnt play as much in the first half of last season, and was then sold, and then Virgil got injured. They wouldnt have played together in Europe iirc. Also, didnt Virgil not start playing until Sept due to when we signed him from Celtic?

    Probably me getting old...

    He also covers a lot of ground, almost effortlessly. So he's nearly always in the right place, even when it looks like he isn't - that's how well he reads the game.

    And he's definitely a leader. Still a dick though. For now.
