It's funny, in Rick's match report, he gave Clucas an 8 and a better rating than Henriksen. Clucas certainly wasn't garbage though, I thought he had a very decent game minus a few loose passes.
Bcc is pretty much right He just had the form of his life during thr first half of the season, almost everything he did was gold He's bang average
Snodgrass' set pieces for us were great three seasons running - against QPR before his injury they were very good as well. They were again good in the Championship, and then in the PL he scored a number of fantastic FKs. That's after scoring a number of great FKs for Norwich before we signed him. West Ham signing him assuming he would be able to continue scoring said FKs and him not doing so is clearly the reason they're annoyed. BCC isn't right at all, he was not signed as a pacy winger.
Don't know how you got to '3 season running' he was only with us for 3 seasons and missed about 1 and half seasons through injury.
Three years running might have been more accurate but I even qualified what I was saying in the text you bolded. My point being his form for us in the pl wasn't a fluke.
well i said about his scoring and he scored 12 premier league goals for norwich in 67 games he scored 7 premier league goals in 20 for us he scored 4 championship goals in 24 for us and scored 0 premier league goals in 15 for west ham
No, you implied 3 years running before injury at QPR. You should have put - in the 1 and a half seasons he played. He managed only about 45 games for us. **** all really.
They were good for three years before the QPR game, even if that wasn't what I meant, so not sure what you're quibbling about. We signed him because of his fantastic set pieces.
Precisely. And what percentage of his goals were from set pieces? I'd wager close to 50% if not more. West Ham signed him for his set piece ability to replace Payet and he's been terrible at that. BCC suggesting they signed him for anything else was wrong.
There's a very strong chance this Snodgrass "debate" will last for 3 seasons. Can someone throw in his assist stats while we are at it, to add some spice ?
Clucas seemed perfectly fine from my watch of the game just now, was a bit surprised after numerous comments on here. He was annoyed at Grosicki and Henricksen a few times but that shows that he cares. If he didn't care he wouldn't be bollocking them.
I think Clucas is still too lightweight,he favours one foot and often slows the game down by turning and passing back. Based on each of the above I do not think he is PL material and probably will not move in this window.
I don't think he's PL material yet but he still has a year or so of development left in him to prove if he can make it.
