Barca have been so poor with their recruitment for the last few years nothing they do shocks me anymore.
I'm not so sure. Its not like they haven't spent large sums on players in the last few years, its just that the majority of what they have bought has been terrible and nowhere near the level required for a team like Barca, whilst they have let go some promising players in favour of the dross brought in.

Barca fans think there is something dodgy going on with this deal. Post I saw: Josep Maria Bartomeu Floreta is a partner and CEO at ADELTE Group which is into designing, manufacturing, supplying and maintaining airports, seaports and road transport operations. Apparently, ADELTE Group is expanding into China and bidding on projects like the Ocean Flower Island being built by the Evergrande group which also happens to be the parent organisation of—you guessed it—Guangzhou. Guangzhou was Paulinhos club up until now. Hes using this transfer for personal gains.
Is Wasn't there something like this for James Rodriguez and a construction company wanting contracts in Colombia (but since they were getting him from a French club I can't remember how this makes sense) Thing is, and with this amount of money those with it can get away with anything. Knock of a zero from some of the figures and people start going to prison. Or heaven forbid have the people commiting have a few less zeroes on the end of their net worth. No one likes an up start...

They're trying to get Rakitic as part of the Coutinho deal with Barca. That would make a lot of sense. £50m plus Rakitic and they're pulled a fast one there.
They will get more than that because I don't think rakitic is being valued at 70m Will rakitic go there though?
