My original point was that he had been quiet. Yes, he may have been involved in the goals to a certain extent, but over 90 mins he was much quieter than normal.
Better result than I thought as a draw for me was on the cards. Sets us up nicely for Chelsea. Now Harry's on 99 and needs one for the 100 which is like double 1 in darts, so close and difficult to get sometimes. He gets it and away he goes.
Won that game with probably 15mins of proper play. 2 goals... Bam, Bam....game over, back into cruise mode.
Well done on 3 points. Job done. Do this against the bottom 13 teams home and away, and get 60% of the points in your favour when playing the other teams in last seasons top 7 and you win the title. I can see reasons why moeny hasn't been splurged yet. You have a settled team, it is young and can get better still. Hope Wembley is OK for you. If we look at another sport, cricket, Lancashire won the Championship playing all their games away from Old Trafford. So why can't Spurs win the League playing away from the Lane.
Good win, we're clearly still getting up to speed and back into the swing of things so important to take 3 points and momentum. Game needs to be raised again ahead of the Chelsea match but the foundations are there. I hope this serves as a reminder to the league that signings or no, we should be up there again this year.
Lovely jubbly. Eriksen was majestic, two assists and that flick over the head late on in the second half just showed his finesse with a football. Great debut by KWP, naturally needed a bit of cover at times but he done well getting forward and wasn't ever really caught out bar one Atsu run. Lloris and the defence unsettled for 99% of the match. 2-0, away from home on the opening day, yeah I'll take that, cheers.
Another 2-0 against Chelsea will do but as I posted yesterday they came back into it with 9 men, I hope that isn't lost on the Spurs hierarchy.
