Rusty first half..hopefully Poch reminds them to switch their brains on with the decision making, pre season is over So this Atsu guy..iv'e seen him do more in 45 minutes than iv'e seen from GKN and Clinton, ever. out of the 3 i was familiar with Atsu. Maybe we need to stop being smart arses in the transfer market and go for the obvious sometimes KWP did well for us..the rest of the attack minded players and their use of the ball needs sorting out
Don't think Kane's tackle should be a yellow. I get that it is under the current rules, but think it's kind of a "double jeopardy" situation. Muck up the tackle you get booked, make the tackle and you get booked. If you win the ball should be the main decider. You can't argue that Kane would know that once he'd got the ball then he'd injure the man
4231 only works when you have raw pace in the 3. Although Chelsea switched up their formation to 352 last season, they were so dangerous previously in a 4231 because of the likes of Hazard and Willian. We don't have anyone with that sort of pace. It's so frustrating.
That's the thing with using the wing backs for pace: injury, suspension, or getting their head turned by an agent saying just how much their 10% will be if you join Man City leaves us with the backup options who don't have the same pace.
He can't have any complaints, ref is staring straight at him and he blatantly stood on his ankle and put all his weight into it.
The good news is we didn't concede within 45 seconds of the restart, which somehow happened in three of our last five matches against Newcastle.
