Mrs had a crazy idea that we could get chickens, a cow and some pigs. I took her to a pig farm so she could sample the aroma - we wont be getting any pigs!!
Had a fair record before that, and the 12 was in the top Germany league,so you never know, but true Wood isn't replicable atm.
Hey Trigger - our guys know what they are doing, we'll be fine look after your own back mate Gromit scored yesterday but how many has morison scored this season?
Not a replacement, someone to give variations and permutations for attack Pierre-Michel will be fine, you'll see he will blitz this league
Ok so we've never heard of this guy but I'm sure none of us had heard of Radebe and Yeboah either, and they didn't turn out too shabby On the other hand we'd all heard of Barn Door Billy and Spaz Moro and they were fooking ****e
If he's not instead of Wood, then he's a great signing, but not so sure, hard for us Leeds to trust any owner.
Might even be out of owners hands. Just look at victompools pathetic attempts to hold onto coutinho. He wants to go so game over. Woods situation won’t be any different he wants off to the pl. best we can then hope for is the money is reinvested. Who knows Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
He's still got 2 years left, like Taylor and Beckford,if we say he can't go then he can't go.He would be better hanging on till jan as least anyway, because if we look like going up for next season,he won't do any better than staying.
That's a very BIG if though - might as well fook off to the PL now than spend 2 years in bottom half of Championship
As (almost ) usual a spot on assessment No team in the Championship had a player score more than Wood last year and yet a quarter of the teams finished above us. I won't be distraught if he goes because he wants the money - as long as the money is reinvested in the team. Is he worth 5 times what Jansson is?? I think not.
Becchio did fook all apart from in League 1 though!! Wood has already scored twice as many Championship goals than Becchio did!!
Obvious now that Tommy and his new players now know what they can expect in this tough league. They set their stall out to stop our creative players by flooding midfield and kicking lumps out us. More team will see the success PNE got so will try it themselves which means Tommy needs to change the game when it happens, not carry on with trying to play through from the back. However if Wood had scored with those 2 we would have scored more as PNE would have had to change. We got a clean sheet and a lesson in how to frustrate creativity. Still in front of where we were last season.
Thoughts from yesterday. Borthwick Jackson is a very good left back. Sound defensively, looks comfortable on the ball and got forward both before and after the sending off. Put in some very useful crosses with his left foot that on another day would have resulted in a goal(s). Noticeable that after he went off Preston had their 2 best chances of the match. Expect him to play now as our first choice left back for the rest of the season. Ayling solid at right back, so full back positions now baring injury/suspensions should be nailed down and this can only help get a solid understanding throughout the defence/team. Pontus a little sluggish as he didn't play as much in pre season as others. He's now back and will be better once he gets a few games under his belt. The criticism of Phillips is harsh in my opinion. It was a battle in the midfield, Preston were very aggressive both on and off the ball and I feel he held his own. Yes he could have done little better at times but was subbed as soon as the sending off happened so didn't get the chance to play with more time and space. It was his turn and surge with the ball that caused the sending off as well. Our wide players were too ineffective, especially Roofe although he should have been played clear through on goal in the first half if Hernandez had chosen the correct option. Allioski had a difficult afternoon when on the right as their left back was aggressive in the challenge and let him know he was there right from the off. Personally would have preferred to have had Sacko on the bench as think his speed would have caused more problems for their left back especially after he was booked. Wood tried hard but wasn't at his sharpest, probably just one of those days when it didn't go right for him. Could have easily got on the end of a couple of Borthwick Jacksons crosses with a bit more understanding of each others games. After the sending off we played well for about 20 mins and created 3 or 4 very decent opportunities. Sometimes it just doesn't go for you and yesterday was one of those days. We should have shown more patience, we lost our shape after Dallas came on which meant the last 7mins plus stoppage time we didn't work and move the opposition around as we should. Thankfully it didn't cost us the game but it very nearly did. Saw WJ sitting in his car after the game so went over to say hello and had a quick chat. Was meeting friends in town so no time to come and meet the others but WJ assures me you're all a good bunch. For me there were quite a lot of positives to take from the game. TC will have learn't a hell of a lot about himself, his players and how tough and uncompromising this league can be. Finally there are 11 teams in the Championship on 1 point or less, so think we are doing quite nicely considering all the changes in the summer.
Becchio is Leeds United's 10th all time league goal scorer, he scored 19 goals before season was half over when he left. In his 2 1/2 seasons in championship Becchio scored 50 goals, including the above 19 before he left. Becchio was consistent for Leeds for 4 1/2 seasons..........he's a Leeds Legend, and he earned it......
