Far worse to see the Swansea perspective of the game, all those shots against and none on target. We all want 3 points, so do every team, not guaranteed, whoever you play, ask Chelsea and palace. Another day we may only have 2 shots and score both. What I saw was every player giving 100% we were dominant, creative and very good link up play. Definate positives. If we can play as well against west ham next week I'm sure we will get goals.
Nice to know I'm not the only one who sees an improving JWP. It seems he has a slightly more forward role this year and had a few decent attempts on goal. Though his best move was the cross that feel behind him and rather than just lie on the ground, he stretched to play it back and keep the move in play.
He knew what I meant, but no he tries to be clever picking up on a mistake which everyone does from time to time. I repeat, sad twat!
Yes we all makes mistakes and there are three responses possible when picked up on it by a fellow poster. Ignore. Acknowledge and resort to personal insults. The last one gives the other chap the satisfaction of knowing that he's got under your skin and is against forum rules. Moving on....
Or one could laugh at one's self, which is the option I like to choose, unless it is Fran who has corrected me ... then I break down in tears. The direct abuse does need to stop though. A tiny amount of control is all that's needed.
All round taken - very loyal bunch in our vicinity, I'm afraid. Anyways, there is no way you'd be able to cope with Mr Potato Head. We'd end up ganging up to kill him and miss 8 years of matches while we were in prison. Not saying it wouldn't be worth it, of course. Match one of the season and I've already had to point out that jeering at Fraser can't possibly help. I'll probably move seats next year. How was it sitting with all the dead people in the Chapel? Vin
Why should you have to put up with people like that though. To take the time to actually point out a mistake , I really worry about some people.
No, that is football. It happens sometimes. The beauty of this entire game is that nothing is a given. Ps. Chelsea dropped 3 points to put that game into perspective.
Luckily we didn't lose 3-0 to Huddersfield... A lot of strong spirits would have been drunk, tears shed and walls punched.
And if you take the logic some people appear to apply, then the title is already Huddersfield's so let's all pack up now. Palace down. Huddersfield Champions, but at least we're top half and we've finished above the Champions
No it's not. It's the way football is. There's a game similar to this in every division every week. The game I always remember is Leeds v Saints in the Championship. If I recall (and my memory quality is fading fast) they had 22 shots on target and we had one. Result, 0-1. Stuff like this happens all the time. To be shocked by something so commonplace strikes me as odd. Much more important was that we looked a different team. We were aggressive, hard playing, pressing to the point where Swansea were panicked, we created chances. Yes, Chelsea scored two with nine men. How much money did those nine players cost? And, you may not have noticed this, despite having the best team in the division, they lost. At home. To a newly promoted side. If we'd done that you'd be in the bath with the razor blades out. Vin
