I enjoyed the game and it was nice to be able to relax and not be on the edge of your seat expecting to lose. Nice to see such attacking play. Now I know nothing about tactics or formations etc but to me it just looked like they were playing with no restrictions and no particular plan, just relax, enjoy and score as many as you can. Okay so I know Tuesday will prove a bigger test and we must be tighter in defence but everyone needed that win today to give us something to smile about.
Genuine question Fez. What do you mean by overteching it ? I'm looking for a solution to my inability to get the live commentary over here, so any suggestions you may have would be welcome. CANADATIGER on the other side (West) of the country managed to get it, I didn't here in the East !!!
I think it's a tough one. Watching the replay, it looks a bit mistimed and nothing more. But at the time, I thought definite yellow. We had three or four players breaking forward from their corner. I could see it either way but probably a harsh second yellow.
I'd be surprised if it was DMD. I tried Radio Humberside and BBC 1 TV during the first half and absolutely no problems picking them up. Maybe Viking are using another node ?
I'm not sure myself, mate. I've a reasonable grasp of user IT, although I leave it to corporate geeks these days. I do know that for some corporate (international) applications we find Explorer works better, for others Google Chrome is the one. Not sure but I think that is linked to whether or not they are designed to be VPN borne or not. Perhaps you should mimic what CANADATIGER does, it seems to work. Is CANADATIGER working through a VPN - this is the overteching bit I was thinking of, but there are some knowledgeable folk on here who could advise you better.
Thanks Fez. I actually tried both Explorer and Chrome, each with both VPN and non-VP without success. CT told me he was using SAFARI. I'll give that a whirl on Tuesday prior to the Wolves match, but I'll be calling (phone) tech support @ Viking and/or [email protected] on Monday to get a better understanding - I've e-mailed their web sites & both seem to be non-functional. Puzzling.
Not puzzling- normal On a different note, I'm watching 'The Nation's Favourite Elvis Songs'; it's 00:30, we're comfortably tiddly and having a good laugh looking back at Elvis moments, not least when we had a pub. We have a eclectic taste in music and put on all sorts of ertatz from Black Sabbath to Elvis (they grew on me with a couple of shandies). I had a particular mate who was a very good Elvis chanter, he dressed in sports jacket and slacks, singing Elvis with quality in his voice. One night he finished, but a bunch of girls hadn't. They insisted he sing more - I knew them, I spoke to him. He was down to his underpants in the pub kitchen and I told him think of another encore (he'd done two). He got dressed, came out, said he would sing one more song and finished an hour later. Just thought you might enjoy that memory. My mate started the white suit **** and I wasn't keen - there has to be limits ...
The foul itself wasn't bookable, but he prevented a counter attack, it was correctly a yellow card. You can't argue with it really.
Let's not get carried away great to watch so many chances but we were wide open in defence, our centre midfield was non existent for large parts of the game and our wingers just don't come back to help the inexperienced full backs. If we play like that on Tuesday wolves we beat us Henrickson is not a defensive midfielder and clucas apart from the fourth goal looks like he waiting for someone to make a bid for him
Thanks Chazz. Down in LA this week for the arrival of a new grandson. And youngest daughter just got engaged. So things are good with us. I'll be on here more now the new season is underway. I like the way things are shaping up under Leo...a top coach and a good man. Lots to be thankful for. All the best to you and yours also mate. Take care.
I don't think the second foul would ave been a card if it was the first one. There wasn't much complaint though. I thought the ref had a decent game overall.
He left in the summer of 15, they got promoted in the summer of 17. That's 2 seasons. You seem to be completely ignoring the full season Nigel Adkins was in charge.
No..The reaction of the other City players was that Bowen was about to break through the middle and was chopped down, defo Yellow in this day and age. Thought the ref was a little pedantic on a couple of occasions, but overall got things right.
