We beat preston last year and probably beat the team bolton replaced. Thats two points worse than last season.
I think TC still has his feelers out, despite the friendlies, these games are for real and TC, while learning himself about championship football needs to find his best 11 within next 3 games, or we'll get left behind and have a big hill to climb. Not so sure I'd have Phillips as a first team starter, I think the midfield role is too big for him and requires more graft than he can handle, plus he's not consistent and tends to give fouls away. I'd be starting Saiz with Pablo as back up if Saiz has an off game, having said that, I'd like to see how both Pablo and Saiz on field work together. Saiz could take a bit of pressure of Pablo allowing him to do his good passing and runs through middle occasionally. I'd put Dallas over Roofe on left keeping Alioski on right, I can't see anything gained at this stage by swapping'em over during a game. We need 2 attackers up front with the mids popping in edge of box shots when allowed, if we continue to play wing football all the time it's going to be no different to last season and most probably with a similar result. 2 attackers means opponent's defences have to put in an extra man, this gives a bit more room for our attacking mids to do their stuff from around edge of box.

You came to play a physical spoiling game,and it worked,we need to kick back as hard as we get kicked.Your sent off player was always going off,just a matter of time,could have been sent off a lot sooner.You did well though play to your strenths.
Not celebrateing,but takes time for new players to settle,not many possitives tbh only Saiz and the loan left back had a good game imo.
At least chesh didnt book a foreign holiday to avoid people on a meet up.. You secret is safe with me.
