I accepted we were in for a poor window when we signed Robertson tbh. Wasn't overly impressed with us signing Salah but at least he gave us options. Robertson is a nothing signing imo, no improvement on Milner who isn't even a left back!
There still seems to be a fear that we are running the risk of them running to their mum if we make an offer without invitation though? Having watched that display today, I'm not sure he'd be able to turn it round. I think it's still "we'll just try and score more than you rather than defend" again this season.
If our CEO rings their CEO and makes the offer with the condition it won't be leaked on our end...he can say no....but offering that kind of cash? Silly money? I think he'll say yes.
