Neither full back got any support from their wide men. Which is a worry against better teams. That was my biggest concern Chazz, we were far too narrow meaning the outer midfielders never gave the full backs any protection. Considering that I thought Clark did well and Aina looked a handful second half after an iffy start.
I was watching it with my Safari browser TC. A few short interruptions but the quality of the commentary was far superior to Burns/Swann. Strange that you couldn't get it. Try another browser on Tuesday.
As some on here were speculating about betting on Villa to hit 3+ past us, I said that there's a real chance that Bruce won't make it to the winter. Even though it's only two games in, that chance just got realer
Yes agreed. Sorry for tc and I hope it gets sorted and quick but good to hear the commentary was exactly what we've all been calling for for a long long time.
What was up with Bowen at the end? He was really struggling, looked like either a shoulder or rib injury by the way he was holding his arm. He was great but had no luck all game.
I didn't see the game but on paper their side looks like a bottom half League 1 team. How many did they bring?
The crowd was bigger than I was expecting, not saying much. Thought north started off really well and it was a good atmosphere but it went quiet which was a shame.
We shouldn't get too carried away. We've played half the teams in the bottom four & not managed to beat them both. Big test in the week when we play a team in the top two. We'll know more then.
Agreed - never get carried away but a solid start nonetheless. We'll know more after Tuesday. Only a bit more like.
Early days as apparent, but a number of hystericals on here were talking about relegation being a real possibility and some were even betting on that outcome. So, whilst recognising that literally anything can still happen, just wondering if those who bet on, or who suggested that relegation was a genuine possibility, still think that this is the case after the first two games?
Spot on Chazz. The change of commentator(s) was long overdue. Swann has been out of his depth for a long time and had become a liability and impossible to listen to IMO. Lets hope Viking can sort out their technical difficulties by Tuesday so we can get an uninterrupted broadcast.
I said at the time that it was a ridiculous suggestion. Burton will be battling relegation and we absolutely blew them away without really getting into second gear.
