I think it's Dier, or even Alderweireld, that'll have to raise his game. Davinson Sanchez is definitely a CB.
He has and can play right back and I don't see him walking into the team as a centre back and we're light one right back. It's a big jump from the Eredivisie and EL to the PL and CL. A season at right back to get his bearings would be about right unless we pick up some injuries at CB.
Sanchez will likely play in a back 3, on the right. He can play right back, but according to fans in Holland, he's no where near as comfortable there. However, with Trippier, KWP and the possibility of Sanchez playing RB if needed, I reckon we can rule out us signing another RB now. Come on Daniel, an attacker with some pace to add to the mix, please!!

If past Ajax connected signings were anything to go by, surely this Sanchez guy could be great addition: 1. Christian Eriksen ✔ 2. Jan Vertonghen ✔ 3. Toby Alderweireld ✔ Room for another one? Hell yes!
fingers and toes crossed on this one. Sanchez looks an incredible talent. Cmon Levy give us something to smile about at long last.
A good young talent for sure, but from the clips I've seen he would be a card-magnet if thrown into the PL too soon, as he goes to ground in the tackle very quickly. A few months of Poch defensive training will probably sort that
Ajax really do have a class academy/coaching regime. If I was Spurs manager I would be looking to augment my regime with whatever Ajax use.
From the clips I've seen, I've noticed that he's either: A) got terrible positioning, hence the need for those 30 yard recovery runs to make the sliding tackle. Or B) he knows exactly how much pace he has, and he just likes giving the strikers a head start, and does it for fun. But credit where it's due. His slide tackles are ****ing immense!
Ajax manager marcel Keizer has confirmed that Sanchez has been left out due to the transfer speculation. And in the last few minutes, a few unreliable reports are coming out that we've had a bid for Martial rejected by united. Edit: seems that the source of the report is "RMC". Anyone know how reliable they are?
