Not great, but not his fault we've not scored. I'm not convinced any of the 'appeals' should have been penalties.
Our biggest problem, as it was last year, is the Tadic - Redmond - JWP - Davis quartet. Solid players all, but you really cannot have them as four of the five players in and around the box, because they're all bad finishers. Either we need goalscorers from midfield, or we need to find a way to get two of our strikers on the pitch at the same time. Or, dare I dream, both.
The style of that draw was markedly different. I am shocked you couldn't see it. We created lots of clear cut chances. We wanted to get forward quickly. We were ore aggressive in the press. Yes, we didn't score. But, unlike the last 5 games of last season, how we didn't score is a bloody mystery!
I would add to that a lack of decisiveness from all you mentioned in the final third. They always want a touch and more often than not it interrupts our flow. Terribly frustrating.
I was thinking it was confidence last season, and that it would correct itself over summer whether Puel left or not. I guess i was wrong.
