I mean he jumped out of a tackle once. The Villa player jumped out too which made it look worse on both of them.

It's no more than the number of headers Hernandez ducked out of but we're not allowed to talk about that.

As for 2 on 1s, Bowen did the same on the other wing including for their goal but again it's not as cool to complain about him as it is Grosicki. Reality is we played an attacking front four especially in the first half and it left both of our full backs exposed.

 

I genuinely find it really amusing that you're so determined to defend Grosicki and criticise Hernandez.

 

Why is it amusing to not just go along with the trendy status quo? You say that like it's so absurd. He played well and the jumping out of a tackle thing is getting massively overplayed because it was him. The fact he left his full back exposed is being criticised even though it was both he and Bowen who did that, and Bowen's full-back being outnumbered actually cost us a goal.

 

Funny, I thought footy was about our team against their team, not our players compared to each other.

You can't say that! Looking at the MOM choices from last week, Bowen was amazing! ! Forget that he never put in a cross, never really got on the ball and ran at Villa, and left his full back continually exposed.

I thought Grosicki did well, he was our only outlet initially, he picked up the ball and went at players while the rest of midfieldersand defence were panicking, always looked for the ball. Yes he ducked a few tackles, but he isn't renowned for his tackling

You're very wrong. There's a difference between negotiating and making yourself look a **** and being serious.

 

I honestly don't care if he sits on his arse all game if it results in him scoring.

 

I agree....but a 1m bid for him doesn't make us look a **** or that we arnt serious, it's exactly what it is....an opening bid that for all we know could have gone in few days ago and before the chairman said what he did

 

This shouldn't turn into a Bowen-bashing session. It's great that for once one of our 'development' signings is actually getting as far as the first team and even scoring. I just mentioned him for context because I think Grosicki is getting a raw deal on here.
