I'm happy to give the Guide Dog a try but as I said, only if I can get food there, otherwise I'll have a pint and then make for the Farmhouse. I hope someone can clarify the food situation?
Trip Advisor review mentioned pies and sausage rolls. If that suits you. Menu at the Farmhouse sounds better.
Me too. As the pubs are close, others can pop in after being at the Guide Dog. Aim to be there at 1-1.15 (I hope).
Me too! Need food and my mate I am going with will probably die if he doesn't eat for a few hours Was thinking of getting to Farmhouse for about 1:25 and trying for food - if not just have to leave a bit easier (about 2:15) to get food outside the ground. No food and wine tends to go to my head
Guide Dog only does sausage roll/pies on their own, not like a meal. My mate works for people who own Old Farmhkuse and it is fully open now, so I'd presume that meant full food again. Wish I was going
I'll drink in a pub on my own, but what I don't like is going into a pub on my own looking for others. I have such a poor memory for faces that I could spend a whole hour with the wrong group. * *mind you that's Ok if they are buying the drinks.

Pubs: Guide Dog is old fashioned enough that the food choice is presented thus: "Do you want a pork pie or a sausage roll?" Given that apparently none of you know how to eat away from pubs, we'll go to the Farmhouse instead, prob there about 1:30-1:45. Meant to be a nice day tomorrow so perhaps we can bag a table outside. I can't help on the being recognised front and I only have a pic of FLT in a hat, which won't help you, Fran. Chilcs, was it your Not606 sign the time we had one? It'll save Fran looking like she's hustling for trade in the pub. Vin
