Watkins was 20 when sold, not 26 like Johnson, and shows plenty of signs of further development. He is also a forward, they tend to cost more. I think Johnson will realistically be valued by most clubs (other then Oxford ) at the 1.5m range
Laugh all you want.....an opening bid is exactly that, it's a starting point to test the water and go from there, for all we know the bid went in before the chairman made his comments etc... Why would we go in with a high opening bid?
Yes I concur!! Fans seem to think it's ok to bid for a player on the cheap but when a cheap bid comes in for one of their players it's an insult.
