Off to Brighton tomorrow! Spencer coming down for one ride on a Qatari horse! No idea of the price but surely he won't be down to go on the dodgems on the pier!!
Stick anything on any Michaels horses ASK THE GURU bit of a Brighton specialist his rise in the weights looks fair and is in good form!
He told me at the start of the week that he would have a good week. Pulled Guru from Bath yesterday because of the ground. More than capable off this nark if Guru fancies it.
Lads im looking for a few more volunteers for the footy compo im running.I'll do all the donkey work, just need your ten weekly predictions!C'mon let's be avin you!
Quite fancy Lake Volta in the first at Brighton Wooly. Ran very green when 7th at Goodwood in a much stronger race than this and still beaten only 4l
The Ontoawinner syndicate have been banging in the winners this last few weeks. 2 more today from 3 runners. Tomorrow they've got 2 at Wolves Corinthia Knight in the first and Mutineer in the last. Cosy Club at Tipperary and Seduce Me ridden by Ron's favourite jockey at Newmarket. Lazy, last day at work then 2 weeks off, bet - Win Yankee.
It would be nice to be known for our football ability, but let's face it, that isn't going to happen.
A fascinating couple of 2yo maidens at Newmarket this evening. It would be hard to imagine a better bred colt than Wafy in the 6.35. By Dubawi out of the 1000G winner Ghanaati (by Giant's Causeway). As well as being a fine racefilly Ghanaati comes from a family that has continued to produce top racehorses over the last 75 years. Ghanaati's granddam is the super matron Height of Fashion (dam of Nashwan and Nayef), and her dam was the Royal Classic filly Highclere who won both the 1000G and French Oaks. Aureole and Hypericum were other outstanding horses from this family. It is also the family of Deep Impact. The first heat can't quite match that pedigree. While one's eye is drawn to the pedigree of Capesthorne, I really like the pedigree of Roseau City who is out of the Kings Stand winner Dominica.
Right. Wanted to post in case the odds shortened. Roseau City, on debut 6/12 btn 6¾L by Nobleman's Nest . "Slowly into stride, ran green and pushed along in rear early, closed and travelling better after 2f, ridden again over 2f out, no chance with winner but headway and stayed on steadily inside final furlong" Nobleman's Guest was beaten a nose by Wasim with Mutakatif 2¾l back in 3rd. The form of Wasim hasn't been too encouraging but Mutakatif was beaten 1½Ll by no less than Expert Eye, easy winner of G2 at Goodwood since. At 14/1 I'll take the line through Expert Eye and suggest a small ew.
Spencer would be trying to weave a path through all the others, Crowley would be stuck on the rail behind the parked cars and Ryan would be looking as miserable as sin!
