    Surely everyone "buys" success?
You yourself said it was all about money earlier and not trophies?
How do you avoid "buying" success if it is all about money?

You make no sense my friend!

    Like **** your were <laugh>

You've literally been rubbing yourself raw about Arsenal's 4th place trophy (whilst Spurs weren't even achieveing that) and trying to wum off the back of it.

Yet here you are openly embracing Arsenal's policy and praying that Spurs can do the same.

    Hypocrite <ok>

This is nail on the head from what I knew of the deal at that time. He's made his peace with Putin now, I believe, as he sold back Sibneft to the state.

Those of us who thought it may have been about his fear of retribution from Vladimir Putin for his part in the rigged privatisations of the Boris Yeltsin era have had it wrong all these years. The very idea that Abramovich had been keen to buy a high-profile British asset as a shield against possible arrest, a theory bolstered by evidence in the Boris Berezovsky lawsuit last year, was not even mentioned by the American.

The Standard claim that 'senior Spurs players are frustrated with the wage structure' but won't go public like Rose.

They are not embellishing Rose's words about it being his opinion that his teammates are underpaid.

Keep up the delusion mate <ok>

I've explained it the best I can, mate.

Part of me would love to see some of the success that he's bought for Chelsea, but part of me wouldn't feel right about it.

I only highlight it because HIAG has previously championed the Standard as the epitome of journalism.

If I knew you'd get this rattled, I'd have gone a lot easier on you.

Nothing about your hypocrisy has me rattled mate. I'm enjoying watching you squirm.

Might as well go ahead and post the net of defeat now <ok>

We can't afford to. You can't either, which is why Coutinho wants to join a club that can.

Coutinho is on 200k a week.

He wants to go to Barcelona because he'd win trophies there.

£150k, by all accounts. He'd get double that at Shignah Shaisho or whatever they're called.

With all the Spurs players being on low wages compared to teams around them does it mean that they will all want to jump ship given the opportunity? I can't imagine there being a bubble of players who are loyal at Spurs.

I quite like the chances of us getting Alli if Coutinho goes to Barca, we'd pay him loads more and he comes to a club that he supports.

No, because seemingly unlike you I would have a conscience about the source of his ill gotten gains.

Once the house of cards starts to tumble, Levy will find it hard to keep Pochettino in his position, and more importantly he won't be able to command the ridiculous fees once the players start to turn on him.

I think we'll see soon enough how this has affected the squad, I will certainly stick Newcastle in an acca this weekend.

  19. Wrong, yet again - that's another FUM point against you (you can have the self-love points).

    I don't buy newspapers.

All I did, in the past, is point out the fact that The Evening Standard claimed that there had been the long-awaited North London Power-Shift, belittling your assertion that I was the only one who had mentioned the Shift. Not only was that not the case, but it had been reported in a National newspaper! <laugh>

I knew that you were furious at the time, mate, but it clearly still has you rattled to this very day!
