That's a lovely tangent that you're going off on there, but I don't think I'll join you, Princess. <ok>

    <laugh> Rattled.

I'm laughing at your hypocrisy of slating Wenger and Arsenal's policy, whilst now saying that Spurs need to openly embrace it

You don't represent all Arsenal fans. It's a rather non-controversial statement, Piskie.

I can see why you want to distance yourself from HIAG <laugh>

He has said many times previously he would never put anybody on ignore and he has slipped up a few times by quoting my posts <laugh> another WFU.

I agree here, it's a real test of the player's loyalty imo. If Rose leaves then the rest know exactly what they must do to get the move they want. It's more important for Spurs to keep him and show that they won't stand for this sort of thing, otherwise the doors will be spinning.

Why the **** is a bell end like you worrying about revenue when as a supporter ( and I use that lightly in your case) all you want to see is your club be successful and not perpetual bridesmaids.

    You sure about that HIAG?

It was as though he was inviting derision from us Yids, knowing full well that we had been ripping the piss out of Gooners for years about them winning the "we came 4th again" trophy.

Spurs will come out and sweep Rose's comments under the carpet and say something along the lines of 'the squad is united....' blah blah
But he is simply expressing what many of them must be thinking. They are seeing other top players getting lucrative new contracts, transfers and wages of £200k+ and they want a part of it.

Spurs now have a problem with Rose. They either keep him and improve his contract, which they will have to do with others, or they sell him and give the message that players have a get out of jail card if they kick off.

  13. I'd love to be able to live in the dream world that you inhabit for us, Tobias. However, my intellect prevents me from being so obtuse.

I'd agree with your sentiment if Spurs was still the mid-table club that was everyone's favourite on Cup days, when we would dazzle the Nation with the likes of Waddle, Hoddle and Gazza, sometime winning by a bucket-load, but more often than not getting shafted.

    Times have changed.

Spurs have moved on. We are currently on a path that finds us mixing it with the teams that are bigger than us, and we are doing very, very well at it. The consequence has been that we have handicapped ourselves with the kinds of expenditure that a bigger side has to fund. We have no choice but to look after the finances. We no longer have the luxury of having nothing else to play for but an FA Cup Final.

    This really isn't rocket-science, Tobias.

    There is no hypocrisy.

The only criticism I have ever thrown at Wenger (and I do see this as primarily his fault) is that, having spent two decades in the top 4 and playing CL footy, they have little more than a couple of FA Cup wins to show for it. I will be just as critical of Spurs if we spend that long at the top and have nothing to show for it.

    Give us a chance, ffs!

How did his appeal against his red for diving against West Ham go?

  17. In all likelihood, he'll be playing with the kiddies for the rest of his (short) time at Spurs.

He's ****ed himself, let's be honest about this.

It's a sad state of affairs when £25k a week after tax is not enough for playing football, but if the club don't keep up then the players will do what's natural in any other line of employment and they'll find a job elsewhere.
