Why can't people cut toast into triangles anymore, instead they have to cut it a cm or so from either the left or right of the corner?

A plastic paddy and Chelsea fan, he is a good **** though to be honest. I don't think he had to do much acting for that part though. I'm trying to find the scene on youtube but no joy. Our day will be emptier without it.
