If a club approached by an agent regarding a player on his books said that the player is under contract and then made a formal approach themselves they could cut out the devious agents and if they played by the rules then they wouldn't be subject to the same tapping up as they practiced themselves.

That's looking likely imo. Except our owners are greedy so the Coutinho replacement might not happen and the money will go on expansion plans for the stadium.

I just can't see you turning down 75mil. Same for us with 100mil for Coutinho. Neither club wants to sell but everyone has a price.

Yes it was Mo Po in charge when Dier came in. David Pleat is a brilliant scout for us..he knows his football.

He can't sell VVD without others agreeing with him and he could be forced to sell him if the board change their mind. Les enjoys the kudos when things are right, but sadly that means being the fall guy if things go wrong....even though the decision will not be solely down to him. I'd be happy if there were plans to extend the stadium...probably don't need to but that's an ambition that I'd like to see.
