MODUN will hack up in the Ebor imo - has been crying out for this step up in distance. Hughes is perfect jock for him I would imagine he will have him dropped out early on before picking them off <cracker>

If I might stray away from York for a few minutes - after yesterday's treble it looks like Tim Vaughan is going for it big time again tonight at Fontwell with all 6 runners looking to have a very good chance. Might be worth chucking a quid on an accy just in case, or playing doubles and trebles <ok>

Morning all! Passing a bit of info ive had from a lad from work. Yorkies has already put it up as one of his selections as I told him about it last night. SMARTY SOCKS in the 3.05 at York. Lad at work was given 3 and 2 have obliged so far at 14/1 and 11/4 (they went off at 12/1 and 15/8), TIP TOP GORGEOUS was the one yesterday. Anyway, i'll be backing it each way cos with my luck it'll get beaten a nose if I back it to win! 10/1 with William Hill at minute.

Apparently Fallon likes the chances of CRYSTAL CAPELLA and DEAUVILLE FLYER if there's a bit of juice in ground and working with Yorkies near York there's defo some of that with some rain we've had recently! So i'll be putting them 2 with SMARTY SOCKS.

    Good luck all <cheers>

  13. 2.00 York RED ART 16/1EW was doing all of his best stuff in the final furlong LTO, he seemed to struggle with the Chester bends, however, when he straightened up for home he flew in and the straight course, the draw and ground conditions and big field here should suit and makes him an attractive EW proposition.

2.30 York SHUMOOS 13/2 A difficult contest to call here with a number in with strong claims, however, i recall watching my selection waltz up first time out and thought he would make the step up in Compnay relatively easy, however, that hasnt been the case after his initial win. That aside he hasnt exactly been disgraced, is drawn well and is taken to reverse the placings with both Gamilati and Best Terms today

3.05 York CASHELGAR 25/1 EW very talented as a 2yo when trained in France when running the SMS trained Glass Harmonium to 1/2l in a CLass 1 Listed race at Ascot, however, since his transfer to the Dermot Weld yard he hasnt really performed, albeit the company he has been running in isnt anywhere near what is on show here today well beaten by the likes of So You Think, Bob Le Beau and Await The Dawn. Today in his first run for the Jeremy Noseada stable he takes a big drop in class and distance back to 8f and has Richard Hughes on board, personally i think the 25/1 on offer here is far to big for a horse that has had some very useful types behind him in his races.

3.40 York LAUGHING LASHES 10/1 EW stepped up in distance LTO and was doing all of her best work towards the finish when beaten only 1/2l 4th in the Darley Irish Oaks by Blue Bunting, Banimpire and Woner of Wonders. On that form you would not expect my selection to reverse the placings; however, had Fran Berry not lost his whip 1f out I think he would have got her up, even without the whip he managed to run them close. Jessica Harrison is a shrewed trainer and this is her only runner and Fran Berrys only ride in the 4 day meeting and I think she should have enough in the bank to win this today.

4.15 Pollys Mark 13/2 ahs been racing in Group Company in her last three starts, however, her best form is without doubt in Listed Company which she drops back to today and should have enough quality to beat what is on show today.

4.50 DEAUVILLE FLYER 7/2 has gone very close all season and not been disgraced, however, he has C&D form and with Kierron Fallon on board again he should have enough to win this today

Over at HAMILTON I think Linda Perratt has strong EW claims on all of her runners today, meanwhile at STRATFORD i think it will be a day for the favourites.

Good luck to all who play today

Wayward: Richard Hughes also has an amazing record on the horse <ok>

Main concern would be 3 and 4yo win the race! I shall take an EW punt though as the horse is genuine and could get the run of the race here <cool>

as i seem to know more than quite a few others on here about association football,i will pledge now to show my bare backside in poundland window if muddlesboro finish in the top 3 this season.
i will also pledge to lash my scrotum with the finest scottish thistles if that other shower from the north-east-blunderland,finish above their close rivals -newcastle 0 .but thats just my opinion ,speaking as one who has graced many a soccer arena over the years ,wreeking chaos amonst defences.

as for the racing at york--MIRROR LAKE has been aimed at this race today, the 8-1 i have secured should put gold in my pockets and diamonds on my fingers.

Tom Dascombe on Twitter - "It's been no secret that we think a lot of Electric Qatar. Today looks a good chance for him to show it on the track although draw not ideal"

I know many of you fancy Deauville Flyer but 7/2 seems very short <yikes>

Chilly Filly had some decent form for Mark Johnstone and although she has never won on soft some of her best performances have come with give in the ground. She has always done better over a trip and I think this first crack at 2 miles could be right up her street.
