I agree but lfc i think are mostly holding out for a cash only bid. No installments no addons.
Why? Just logically tell me why we HAVE to sell Ford even if he puts in a TR?
TBF most teams do the add ons now for big, high risk transfers. If you thought the player was good enough to meet the criteria there shouldn't be a problem, after all, you don't need the money straight away.
Haven't read through everything but it seems there can't be too much complaining if we sell Cout? All I can see is 'it's X or **** off'... We have said he is not for sale and rejected the bid immediately - so why does everyone think there is some magic number in mind? We are telling them to do one aren't we?
In the end... A) our valuation of coutinho and the rest of the worlds valuation dont need to align. Lfc might just be mad as might us fans thinking hes worth 100mil. B) seems to me if barca cant force Coutinho to go on strike or whatever. Then either a compromise is met or on price or nothing happens. C) ball is back in barca court now. Either we wake up to massive new storylines in the press that makes out coutinho is on strike or thry **** of to buy someine else
everything right up to the fact this convienent back injury is keeping the player out of the limelight.... if the guy was in training and available for watford game i would agree...... its just.... i cant helo but think we are open to the deal but barca are being barca and wanting a cheap deal.
If wasn't for FSG in the equation I'd disagree with you, but I fear their greed/spinelessness. Otherwise, I say again - there is no logical reason whatsoever to sell at all if we don't want nor need to, and even if/when we do there is no rational reason not to **** Barca from here to Uranus and back in the process. They need a lesson, or the ****ers will be back next season for Mane, Salah and (hopefully) Milner. We have absolutely no reason to not hurt barca badly one way or another over this - don't sell, or sell at a greatly inflated price. Only FSG can **** this up.
Imo hes the difference between 4th and 6th.. Im not sure we've done enough this summer to win anything but.... with him and the front 3 we have quality
We'd be sitting down, talking it over, agreeing the deal and then getting it done if that were the case though wouldn't we? Random media fed bids with instant rejections just looks to me like we're really not interested, unless we all put our tin hats on and say it's just to save face
If they were bidding 70 for keita for real then a 70odd mil for our best player cant be turning them on.
Andy Carroll lmao When you are desperate you do silly things This is not meant as a dig but Pogba at 89m was stupid BUT did more than buy you a world class player It sent out messages No way was he worth 89m but you paid it The fact that you are Man Utd has a bearing. On how much u pay Same with clubs having money All prem clubs seem to be paying top dollar, whilst neymar aside - players moving around the continent for reasonable fees Due to prem money (and **** weather) we having to pay a premium So when we know a club has money and something we don't have to sell that they want to buy we need to turn the tables
We dont really know.... all we know is what both sides want us to believe. Lfc have insta rejected according to our friendly journo. 20 sources across europe will have another story for the rest of england. Who knows but we will see. Get the guy on the pitch and end the speculation
You are looking at it from a supporters point of view, look at it from a clubs point of view Chairman/person "how much is he going to improve us" Manager "we have just sold Neymar, he's not going to improve us" Chairman/person "then why the **** do you want to spend that much on him "
I remember when United paid £18m for carrick decades ago. He wasn't 'worth' that to anyone else, but Spurs extracted the levy fro one of the richest teams in the Prem, and Uniturd won three prems on the bounce, many saying Carrick was an intergal part. He was worth it to them then. Barca have the money - they either pay a grossly inflated price, or they walk away. Either way, we win. Only the worst businessmen in the world could **** this up - God help us then.
