That's £175m, but go on then. It still makes him only slightly less worth two Pogbas, but on that scale we'd really be justified asking for £270m.
If I was Barca I'd realise that I have a lot of money and I'm buying off people who don't need to sell - no wonder they've got all their hirelings in the media trying to up the lure of playing for Barca - they've got nothing else except that lovely, big, fat wad.
I did say I was exaggerating, not on about strictly on here either btw For what it's worth I disagree about haggling deals down. Think we've always got good prices from you. My point is its hypocritical to slate Barca if you defend your clubs actions with Virgil
I don't .I'll say again though that the infuriating thing with Barca is not the usual tapping up, but the using of their media hirelings to get prices knocked down. They butt-****ed us two years ago over Suarez, and made out they were doing us a favour. They did seven years ago over Masch too. God knows how many times they've done it to Arsenal. Whatever we have done to your club (and I'll say again, as I said at the time, the Lovren episode was pukeable), we haven't done it to financially shaft you. Might seem like a moot point to you, but it's a big difference to a lot of us.
I think it's time we all relaxed. Reliable reports are all stating that the deal is no closer to happening and any suggestions otherwise are leaving Liverpool baffled. It's blatantly Barcelona playing their media games. They really are screwed right now. Lost one of their best players, the £200m clause was not a big enough deterrent and now they're being squeezed by every club they approach.
Heard a whisper Fowler might be going to Leeds,..............................................finger on the pulse!
I think I'd agree largely on number. Its not par se for me to say what it should be but its not 70 or 80 mil or a two instalment deal and its not a add on deal either imo. I think we all agree on that. I don't know a tier on top of the kop is possible. I think the thole thing would have to be knocked to achieve it out of the current steel work but i could be wrong I think the issue for me is the anfield road end will (i hope) be a far superior stand to the kop when (i hope) it is done. Its only 70mil too... it should be done. The kop i think is very interesting as the footprint is not that impossible please log in to view this image If anything there are tow things affecting the kop. The albert and the road itself. I think this current layout for the annie road is now obsolete as another 2/3 k will have to be stuffed in there to get it accross the line the plan was to add 4,800 seats to the 9k in the anfield road end. that would be more than the kop... if theres another 2/3 k squeezed in there that makes it a massive end and far superior to the kop BUT.. the actual space its all that different in foot print. If the will were there the kop end could be changed but i think its an entire demolish job.
Borussia Dortmund attacker Emre Mor is on the verge of joining Inter on loan after being released from first-team duties at the Bundesliga club. Dortmund announced via the official Twitter page that the Turkish youngster had been committed from the club’s pre-season photo call in order for him to finalise his transfer away from Signal Iduna Park According to Diario de Sevilla, Alberto Moreno could be a target of his former club Sevilla before the end of the transfer window. The left-back has struggled this last few years for the Reds with his attacking ability largely outweighed by the fact that his defensive ability has been very poor. However, in recent weeks he has seemingly improve in the pre-season friendlies with his performances at left-back against the likes of Bayern Munich catching the eye amongst many of the fan-base. Indeed, there’s even a suggestion he might have a decent part to play this year in our campaign but this story is also suggesting that he might still be off. Certainly, it’s a hard one to judge if Moreno can come good but, then again, if Sevilla offer a decent amount it might just be best to accept and move on.
IMO it is a bubble. when it pops some clubs will be caught very badly. IMO the only way i can see this going is players and agents start thinking **** this **** theres a huge pie to eat ourselves here. they will then say no i am not signing new contracts i want a 4 year deal max here and when its done i am off. Can you imagine the killing neymar would have made on a free? Agents across the globe have to be thinking this. ok yes if you are at barca you can make a deal and get the money but if you are COUGH at southampton you'd be mad to sign a long deal. The main issue with a bubble is that its the wages not the fees unless you are borrowing to fund these fees. The only way it pops as tobes pointed out is if the tv money drops. that is fair enough. Would you like to be PSG if the money dries up? they simply cannot be paying that guy out of french TV money and CL tv money. its fake sponsorships. If the prem wages are flying up (and some clubs are resisting it) then the tv money gets cut or worse the top 6 decide stuff you were want a higher share... oh oh.. suddenly we can't pay this. I don't know when it'll pop but when players go like this........... i know in nba they had to cap stuff.
I completely agree if it wasn't for all the points of timing, public perception and all of the other points that have been made on numerous occasions in this thread For me the more the better For me no player is worth 100m end of
Not buying Keita or even VVD can be a blessing in disguise if we can hold on to Coutinho. Naby Keita to Liverpool: Bookies cut odds on deal with RB Leipzig after flurry of bets LIVERPOOL are now 6/4 to sign Naby Keita from RB Leipzig
