This, or simply don't sell at all. Barca have to learn, just as we are doing with Soton, that Prem clubs don't have to do anything any more - it's not 2014.
Just your (blue-tinted) opinion. Want to and have to are two different things. This isn't Luis in 2014 - if Klopp doesn't want to sell we don't have to. Only fly in that ointment is what FSG want to do....
If we HAVE to sell Ford, and when we SHOULD get £130m, then I fully agree with this and have said so in previous posts. I'd like to see a seated tier on top of the Kop now, and safe-standing, as it's been agreed, where the seats are now. Pointless taking all that money and then blowing it all on a £30m player in the last hours of the window. And a CB too (although we have the money set aside for that). Ben Gibson is no VVD, but he's a damn sight better than Lovren -as is SAKHO!!!!
Depends how you play it really. Coutinho will probably be worth more next year (depending if Qatar are planning on spreading the wealth) but Barca may not necessarily have that money in their pocket anymore. Likewise if you are like MITO you may think theres a giant bubble and 100m now might be worth 200m next year in a depression so you may be better off long term taking the money. Selling him this year though will mean you're jeopardizing this year
Well I've exaggerated yeah but you yourself have whinged about Barcas behaviour while implying you haven't acted the same.
I don't care what he's worth personally. We should not be selling if we want to build a team to challenge for honours.
Coutinho said he wants amicable transfer- meaning he is not going handover a transfer request please log in to view this image
£140m for Couthino then or f*ck off Last year, I'd have said that Neymar is worth £60m more than Couthino. The price is relative. But this discussion will run until September 1st
So which one do they want more? They were obviously betting on getting both for the £200m. Be interesting to see which they think they have a better chance of signing.
Go back through the post feller and see what I have said on this topic (without once adding five times, I may add) , but I understand why you've used the word 'implied' so that you can offer an opinion over fact what I have said. I have consistantly berated VVD, for instance, for going on strike and not putting a TR in, and also stated the new reality that Prem teams nowadays don't HAVE to sell to anyone. The only difference that I fully defend what I have said is that Barca think they can use their media forces to get the price knocked down - whatever we have done in the past (and God knows why we went on to do it for Lovren) we have ALWAYS paid you top dollar (and more) for your players. But I challenged one of your fellow posters off your board who came on here a couple of days ago claiming that we 'haggled' the price down on all our sales from Soton with this challenge - go on, when did that happen? He hasn't come back yet.
