Like I said, I am not too sad to see Matic go personally, as with Kante in our squad, he is surplus, just more miffed that we sold a decent player to a direct title rival......which is always daft.

I wasnt too surprised when we sold Cech to Arsenal.
Cech is a Chelsea legend who had been with us for 12 years and has two young children enrolled in London schools, I think it was out of respect that we let him choose his destination.

 

I don't think Matic is what Man utd should be aiming for. He's past his best imo and they should have gone out and got a younger player. I don't particularity rate him either tbh.

That was my point mate, Jose gets accused of ignoring youth daily but Conte is doing the exact same. He's sold half of them.

You are correct though, Bod and I have been giving Conte the pelters for not trying to bed in the youth.

I'd actually prefer a slightly smaller squad like we have right now and given the youth some opportunity. Now we have a small squad and we've loaned all our youth out.

I see absolutely no reason for us to buy VVD as it just means christensens going to do what Ake had last half of the season. I can see us doing something **** like swapping christensen for VVD and a bulk load of cash

 

There's nothing worse. I'm not too happy about Fosu-Mensah going out on loan either, so far he looks better than Lindelof has. I'm assuming Lindelof gets better than what he's shown so far, otherwise loaning TFM to Palace is a bad idea.

Thankfully Rashford is un-ignorable, so JM won't be sending him to WBA.

Really rate Rashford personally, think he will be a cracking player if given a chance.

 

He's already a cracking player, he plays without fear and with 100% commitment. Needs to refine his skills now and he'll be with us a long time.

He played about as much as a top youth should last season, if you look at the likes of Michael Owen and how burnout finished his career I think MR is being managed well so far.

He's the English Mbappe. The difference being Mbappe was in an inferior league last season.

If Rashford plays a full season in PL this season he could well be the Mbappe of next summer. Cracking player, Jose has to just keep starting him.
