20 staff for 3 years is probably about £1m in pay. On top of that there are social security costs (about 40% of the salary, I think). Obviously you are aware of the employment contract laws and incentives for permanent contracts in Spain. It can be very expensive to sack staff, except during the training stage. I have no idea how much the premises cost nor the phone lines and all the equipment costs but you clearly have a lot of money.

He's a fella, got it sorted, no worries.

Of course he can run off and make millions from the intellectual property of a 35 mill valued company via knowledge contractually broken via an ex employee.

Staff only get a small basic for the first 3 months and then they are on commission only, the same as a lot of places over here.

 

In that case you'll be happy to be paying them a lot
