Trouble is, who will take him to task on his statements? Even Sutty at the YP wouldn't these days. I am not arguing whether this is money that should be spent, but the fact of why say it if you don't intend to carry it through.
Total staff costs 2012/13 £26m Total staff costs 2015/16 £30m these are our 2 promo season under the Allams So I would imagine our budget this season will be around £30m ish
Where is your source to say he hasn't had pre-season training somewhere or the equivalent with someone?
He's not had a club, it's pretty obvious that he won't be have played in any pre season games. He's going to take a little time, I thought that was obvious
Good signing, plus is that he will know both David Meyler and Fraizer Campbell from their Sunderland days.
Fear not, I'm staying put I strung them along, necked the release clause (minus the crisps to make sure it wasn't contractually binding) and then when they baulked at the on-going "free bar" wage I walked (well staggered) away I'd like to publicly state my commitment to Hull City AFC and although this has been an unsettling period for everyone (not least my agent who took until 4am to track me down in the casino) I'm looking forward to the season with a fresh start (and a clean bar tab) Bring on the Brewers

He's been described on the Sunderland board as a model professional, looks after himself, doesn't drink. Even if he brings just that element into our club and helps guide our younger players, that's a massive positive for me. Adding experience and know how to the spine of the team. I really don't see why people have a problem with this signing. Excellent addition for me.
