    I was stunned when they agreed to sell Cech to us. There's clearly a hierarchy at Chelsea that means the manager does not have the final say in transfers.

    They've signed Bakayoko, so he could go some way to filling Matic's role. But selling Matic to Utd was ****ing stupid.

    Costa is going to be a much bigger miss. Morata is a different type of player altogether, and I do not think he's going to have half as much impact as Costa did.

    Agree with both of these.
    Matic was becoming surplus, not sad we sold him, just annoyed that it was to United.
    Costa.....from the very first game he was a beast, he hit the ground running in the PL. He scored like 9 goals in his first 7 games for Chelsea.
    Will be hard to replicate that, and I cannot see Morata having as big an impact, at least not right away anyway.

    I can see why they sold Matic tbh.

    Kante is number 1 in that role and I always thought playing both wasn't needed. With Bakayoko it will have much more balance imo.
