Sounds good to me, £2m is a good price, especially if he's British.

As in why the club are doing it. That doesn't mean I'd do it.

Birmingham, Derby and Leeds are having a look as well.

Naturally better at football in. Akeepy uppy in the park way.
If anything showed Meylers worth it was coming on against derby in the play off semi. Plugged the gaps with his, positioning and footballing brain. The ones tom was letting people through.
Hit a Hollywood ball to the wings, nah.
But then players like Glenn whelan never get recognition either.

You want a cm with wide men like growshitski and Bowen you need two strong cm's. When he's fit he plays there above hendo.

I'm guessing you're probably correct on this, after all you'll surely have checked all of the available stats on Football Manager.

Was that the same season he ran along the line with the ball allowing PNE to score? See, if he was consistent at what he did against Derby, he'd be a much better player, but he has too many below average to average games to ever be considered anything else in my opinion.

    Wah. The old chestnut.

Do you just recycle things like this in the hope that one day they resemble a half decent riposte? 3/10.

How about actually watching the players and making a judgement that way? You know, the old fashioned way.

Sterlings right on this one lba, as much as meyler shows that spirit and attitude you talk about if he didn't give the ball away as much he'd do a lot less running trying to get it back. We have better footballers, with a fully fit squad meylers getting splinters at best

Too many average or below average games and then you rate tom Huddlestone. Arf

We've been trying to offload him all window. His wages stopped us signing Neymar.

Yes. I remember Thudd controlling games, acting as a metronome. Our first PL season under Bruce he was fantastic. Struggling to remember how many Meyler put his mark on with a dominating midfield performance like that.

Okay, just that I thought that when you said "For me it only makes sense to sign him if Clucas is leaving" you really do mean for you; perhaps you meant, 'maybe the club think'. I know you like your word games ... <ok>

I remember a period that Thudd got himself banned, presumably so that he could enjoy his Christmas, we went on a winning run whilst he was out, when he got back in we returned to inconsistent/poor results, I can't ever remember Meyler having that same sort of impact. check your FM stats.

Poor recall of the championship then. Go back and see how many times tom was hauled off. Or the **** second season in the pl come to that.
It's just sad how you continue to **** on one of our own players. Very sad.

I remember people trotting that out as fact despite it being total bollocks.

You've mentioned Football Manager again, are you thinking of the right person? You appear to have me confused with the Everton head scout.

So we're selling Grosicki, Clucas, McGregor, Hernandez to pay for them.

Man City were also looking at Marvin Johnson.

He had a tougher time of it in the second season because teams targeted him and blocked him off. Our lack of a back up plan meant we kept trying the same thing over and over and it failed.

I don't think Meyler is good enough for us anymore, given the options we have. That isn't ****ting on him. Because I'm sure you've never thought any of our players ever have not been good enough. The fact that some on here think having heart or running around a lot and huffing and puffing and acting like a hardman makes you an integral part of a squad is irrelevant to me. I go by what I see on the pitch and in all discovered and undiscovered dimensions there is no way in hell I'm having it that Meyler was a more influential player for us than Tom Huddlestone.

Really? Our options have improved so dramatically have they?

If we sign Larsson, that'll be 5 central players we have. Even if you count Henriksen and Evandro as AM there's still two other blokes in ahead of him (when Mason's fit). Then there's Max Clark and Dan Batty trying to break through and we've been linked with Lewis Baker. Maybe he will have a part to play this season, Slutsky seems to like him but I personally don't think he'll have as much to offer this season.

Meyler was a perfect Steve Bruce player, Tom wasn't. Just look how brilliant Tom was beginning to look again under we've got Marco Silva...

More fool him for deciding to go and play under Rowett, ****ing suicidal career decision for him.
