Driving home today, great few days away. Holyhead is still a dive in general but there is a nice area away from the rough town now. The harbour area has apartments and there's a great little pub there and a nice restaurant nearby. Treaddur Bay still the place to go if you are in the area though and that's a 5 min drive. Holyhead has a **** reputation but it really isn't bad if you stay away from the town.
Just cleaned the pool in 40c+ sunshine! And I can't even go in yet as I have to wait for the chemicals to circulate.
Taken a week off work to do a week of work down in the family restaurant, running the bar during the town's biggest week of the year. Took a half hour lunch break and walked to the sea front, got shat on by a seagull. Great start to the week.

Bit of a 'lucky' break - got referral to see cardiologist from bi-annual medical for marginally high blood pressure due to family history (father died of heart attack aged 49) - actually passed all the heart tests, ECG etc but my 'risk factor' increased due to the family aspect ... within one month of tests, CT angiogram, attempted angioplasty, culminated in having heart surgery ... now recovering well.
