I think keep him for 3 reasons:
1. It sends a message that we won't be pushed about.
2. He is easily our best player and will settle back in when the window shuts
3. We will get a bigger or equal transfer fee next summer.

 

Yes. This is a ridiculously complicated moment. Selling him makes all the logical sense (he isn't going to play, so we need money for replacement(s)), but then you remember the long game - and perhaps the sale will perpetuate the idea that all our best players can bully their way out. BUT, then you remember we got these players because they felt they could move on when they saw the opportunity. Argh! I am glad I am not Les Reed.
