Not in my top 5 but my favourite American dystopian art house film of all time is Gummo. The narrative sometimes drifts into self indulgent prose and at times it almost turns in on itself. The lack of clarity is one of the films most interested features though, well I thought so anyway. Werner Herzog and Gus Van Sant are big fans of this movie, what else do you need to say? Well worth a watch.

Gummo. It is the worst film , of any genre, ever made. Ever. I posted that drivel in the hope somebody might give it a watch but in the cold light of day I've realised that inflicting that pile of dogger on another human being is just plain cruel. Avoid.
For the worst film I'd like to nominate the abomination that is the Nick Cage remake of The Wicker Man. What an absolutely bag of dog tod.
Beyond my playful parody of Carmine's mischievous post, I would nominate Striptease. Demi Moore was lush and it smacked of promise, but unfortunately it turned out to be a Ryan Taylor film ... ... if not the worst, definitely the most disappointing.
He's certainly starred in his fair share of turkeys but, Leaving Las Vegas, Red Rock West, Raising Arizona are very good films.
Same as when the Yanks made a remake of the old Eailing classic : 'The Ladykillers.' It was real knob cheese stuff.
5 worst films for me: Jaws: The Revenge (obvious reasons to anyone who's seen it) Birdemic: Shock and Terror (because it's just the worst piece of **** ever devised.) I was being a bit facetious there. When he's not doing the action hero bit I actually quite like him and both Raising Arizona and his (and everyone else's) performances were superb. For the worst film I think there can be no doubt - "Mrs. Brown's Boys D' Movie" Now I know what you're thinking but hear me out. Mrs Brown's Boys is both enjoyed and derided (although mainly the latter). But it is self-aware and it knows exactly what it is, what it's trying to be and what its limitations are. It will never be Seinfeld/Fawlty Towers etc and it doesn't try to be. By that measure it is fairly successful. Whether people like it or not is a different matter. But "D'Movie" fails to get over even that lowest of bars. I don't think I have ever watched a "comedy" which didn't raise even a smirk, at all. Even Deuce Bigelow was funnier. Most war movies are funnier. Really... do yourself a favour and don't watch it - ever.
