MS was saying over a week ago that it would be good to have 5/6 new players before the season starts and we have 2 ?
Think we´ll sign a few before then start of the season, well...only the squad numbers suggest that...
The agent/translator told me 'there are few bits left for the work permit to be finalised but Richarlison will be scoring vs Liverpool next week' this was posted on facebook with a pic of Rich plus the guy posting. On facebook someone posted that we will not get the work permit before wed
Is this article a tad overly negative? http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...Pivotal_month_for_Hornets_with_squad_lacking/ On one hand, I see Watford with some additions and a better manager, then, I wonder if we have really improved the squad a lot...
I think we are still very short in the goal scoring department. Maybe one of them will come good, but not seen much evidence so far. How are you fixed for match threads this season Mex?
I wouldn´t mind leaving them to someone else. Though, it is easy enough to cut and paste them from a news site beforehand..

He would have been good as he can play across the back line or in front of thee back 4 so we was told
18 million for Andre Gray. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football...ge_size=10&postId=127766358#comment_127766358 Seems quite steep by our standards but guess nothing comes cheap nowdays. Got pace and an eye for goal - just hope he keeps sensible on Twitter!
This one has been doing the rounds for quite a time. If previous bids were turned down that could explain the delay.
Gray is in the last year of his contract, and Dyche said, asked about the possibility of any more outgoings: “You never know. We’re not under any pressure to sell anyone, that’s obvious. “You just never know with the shifting sands of the market. You think you can control it but you can’t really. Are contracts really worth what they’re meant to be worth? You can never say never. Read more at: http://www.burnleyexpress.net/sport...f-our-stars-clarets-boss-sean-dyche-1-8690417
Sky Sports NewsVerified account@SkySportsNews 11m11 minutes ago BREAKING: @WatfordFC are closing in on £11.5m deal for @BurnleyOfficial striker Andre Gray, say Sky sources Watford FC Blog@WatfordFCBlog 50m50 minutes ago The Mirror are reporting that Gray will be a #WatfordFC player in the next 48 hours. Due to undergo a medical. Mirror is saying £18.5m while Sky Sports are saying £11.5M. Can't see us paying £18.5m for a player in the last year of his contract... maybe there are lots of add-ons etc, or the Mirror is just totally wrong (or maybe the Pozzos put out the higher amount so others won't bid) If we can get him in, and a left back, think it would have been a very good window (would like another right winger too though, to be honest)
I sometimes wonder what sort of wheeling & dealing goes on behind the scenes with transfers - have just read that Gray recently changed agents and is now managed by Jorge Mendes. Who also happens to be agent for Marco Silva.
Beyond me... .the politics of football finances...... but surely is all part of the play. I guess players learn they get better % deals with different agents etc
Have read a couple of the Secret Footballers books and he says agents push their players for a move every couple of years... so they can get a signing-on fee but also so the agent gets a nice little payment too! Some agents really don't give a toss about their player, they are just an income stream to them!
