Agree that this would make no difference what so ever apart from making all the people on this board feel very down! So, no......I hope we stuff em. Even if this is the team that takes us to January I genuinely believe that it has enough pace and skill to not only mean that we win games but we do so in an entertaining way!

Agreed about the Souchoux lad but Pieters is the Dutch national teams left back. If we can't be excited about that then our levels of delusion have hit all new heights.

    Hello psycho, you still alive?

    long time no battle eh?

I wish we'd done what you lot had and bought ten new players, even if half of them are Man Utd crocks, love the way Stebo buys six centre backs every year, you'd think he'd know how to spot a decent one by now!

Surely if we stuff sunderland it will prove that the team/squad is stronger than you think, thus all the moaners should shut the **** up!!

This weekend will be cold and unforgiving for you. Stay strong.

Anyone who wishes Newcastle to be stuffed by anyteam, never mind the mackems, is a ****wit and most certainly isn't a real fan. I'd suggest you get a ticket in the home end with your real mates on Saturday, then you can shout Haway the Lads with your fellow red and white wearing tosspots.

I think you're missing something Rokk, even if we get stuffed I doubt it would hasten fat Mike's spending.

Yeah you're right maybe my anger at Ashley is clouding my judgement, i shall go away and have a severe talk to myself, i'll be cheering as loudly as anyone if we beat the Mackems but seriously looking over my shoulder at rest of the Division hoping by chance there are three worse Teams than us!

I can understand the frustration shown by this suggestion but never want to see us lose to the mackems and seriously doubt it would make any difference as Ashley seems to think he knows best and will continue to do what he wants to do even if the peasants are revolting. also doubt we will get in the 2 new players we need before the game too but keeping my fingers crossed we get them before the window closes and also that something is sorted out to keep Barton. IF we do i think we look better than last season and can get into the top ten this season, without them i still think we will be better than more than 3 of the other teams but it will be a long hard season.

Putting all the bluster and banter to one side, the cold facts are that Newcastle are weaker than last season and Sunderland look quite a bit stronger, judging by the game against Liverpool. You don't sell your best players, and either not replace them at all or replace them with players who are inferior in quality or untried in the PL, and not have to face some consequences.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sunderland win convincingly, but I don't think that will make any difference to Ashley.

Have you done your nut? I agree - Ashley is a grade A special breed kernt, but wishing we get trounced by that lot? Jog on.

The only time I want to see a good beating inflicted on me is when my girlfriend is dressed up in leather or PVC clothing, and I'm repeatedly having to hope each pained "Jesus ****" expression is taken by her to be a safeword... But alas I can only dream. I hate Ashley, but the fat git makes up 90% of my comedy material, and that's probably held me back from doing anything worthwhile (that and being ****), so I hate him even more... It's an endless cycle. He's like my One Ring.

One Mike Ashley to rule them all, One Mike Ashley to find cockney snitches,
One Mike Ashley to bring them all, and in the darkness make them run naked on our pitches...
    Mmmm needs work...

But there is absolutely nowt fans can do to him (bar kill him... which would be a bit too far, as much as I'd enjoy seeing his face mounted on a plaque on my wall... But that's purely because it would fit the decor...). Protesting achieves nothing but the main article on BBC Sport with the title "Ooohhh the locals up North are rioting again...", and several references within about how we worship Shearer, run around naked with spears and kidnap any Southerners who dare stray too close...
Singing nasty chants achieves even less, except we are wasting our breaths and not giving our team a lift when they need it!

So unless one of us wins the Euromillions after several thousand rollovers... Or finds he's got King of Dubai ancestary... We're condemned to silently follow.

Rokkun, you are not idiot. I understand your hatred, and I understand your sentiments, but lets hope we beat Sunderland eh, so we can forget what a crap owner we have for a weekend!

    Absolutely FFing not.

Irrespective of any behind the scenes issues the 5-1 thrashing we gave the poor relations over the water was the single most enjoyable footballing day of my life to date......

If we are on the end of one of those i would be devastated. I am going with 1-1, i just hope Sunlun are lacking in the attacking department, if they score a couple of goals i cant see us pulling back... Save for Sholas token derby notch.
