It's just my opinion but he is another Stones. Talented lad made to look good by the system he is in. But then again I'm not a millionaire manage looking to sign him.
From what I have seen of both of them, it isn't even close as to who the better player is. I really think the guy is/was that good. I say was because injury might have impacted him.
Who knows? Sometimes everyone gets a bit fixated on an outcome to the point where they lose all sense of proportion. I still think the price is ridiculous, but then I'm a dinosaur.
Hey, all I do is point out discrepancies. You know, like you all believing VvD only wants to sign for Liverpool (£65k v £200k no brainer) yet the man himself (his agent) posts that he wants to be able to talk to the "multiple top clubs" who are chasing him.
Think about this, Walker (a greyhound but no defender) £50m, VvD a rolls Royce of a CB (if his ankle has healed well) is worth at least £65-£70m
