Not sure on this one. Used to be a tidy enough player but then went off the radar a bit. Still, not a big outlay so no real loss if he turns out to be worse than Loovens at a 10th of the price.
Are the signings of Bocanegra and Bedoya footballing decisions, or a cynical attempt to expand our following in the USA?
I doubt it. How can we expoit America when we don't even exploit the fact that we got to the Yoofa Cup Final. He's cheap and has experience. Not the route I want us to be pursueing but the one that Super has been taught.
I'll reserve judgement until he's played a few games and started to settle in. He's got a few years of premiership experience and as far as I can remember, was never out of his depth. At this stage, I would rather we go with tried and tested instead of taking players out of their comfort zones and hoping they will cope.
I'd rather we played Ross Perry, see if he can 'cope' with the SPL and in Europe and then sell him in 4 years for £12m after he proved himself to be up to the job, rather than paying good money and taking chances with experienced players like MccCulloch, Beattie, Ostenstad, Capucho <FLASHBACKS>
May I suggest you sing this to show your appreciation for your new American contingent?
