I can agree with you agreeing with them mate, gotta watch your back and that. But why don't we kidnap him at the training ground and cut them locks. The last thing this club needs is another growshitski mullet
I agree that something needs doing. The club has just about recovered from when Cairney was here with his Fancy Dan barnet. Now we've two in the starting 11, although Bowen shouldn't even be in the U23 squad if you ask me.
Meylers dyed his receding barnet. Hernandez will be contemplating hair extensions or some such ****. It needs stopping now or by Christmas Michael Dawson will have a bubble perm.
To an extent I would agree, but I was referring mainly to not holding on to a lead. Although much has been made of McGregor's excellent return, Johnstone had much to do with keeping Villa in it. I thought it was pleasing to see our efforts on target.
They forget they're there to steward the crowd - not the players and pitch. Imagine if Bowen fell over and was injured when the steward tried to block his way. He'd be out of a job and they've be sued.
Steve Bruce performance my arse; McGregor, and Villa's woeful finishing, were the only reason we weren't a mile behind at half time. An improved 2nd half but, that first half needs to be a one off - it was worse than abysmal.
Being as he chose it, I'm in total agreement - it was indeed, a typical Steve Bruce side; that was never my point though - whether Steve Bruce is a good/bad/indifferent manager it doesn't alter the fact that we should have been facing an uphill battle at the start of the second half, fortunately we weren't, and we dodged a bullet thanks to a cracking, assured finish from young Bowen.
We were on top most of the second half. Slutsky alluded to it in his interview that a lot of young players and new players not used to playing in front of a large hostile crowd. The second half demonstrated more what we're about.
I hope you're right mate - there was a lot of good stuff played in that second half, the forced substitution of Campbell was a shame, caused us to lose a bit of impetus but .... we'll all take more of the same eh?
I said this earlier in the week, but there's a real chance he won't make it until the winter. I've not seen the game at all yet so can't comment on the play, but the worry for Bruce and Villa is that they really struggled to get it together for the half season under Bruce last year. By and large, they spent big, have some great players in what's was (and still is a) winnable division - so I was surprised that he didn't make a bigger impact last season. Granted, you wouldn't neccesarily expect promotion but from what I recall, results had the distinct pattern of dogshit. Again, talking without real knowledge but I reckon there's a lot of bellend egos in that squad. I do note that Villa had Kodija and Grealish out and they should be big players this season. But it's clear that the owner and (probably) the fanbase will not have patience this season. I'd also venture that anything other than promotion will be sackable and in the balance, that's probably fair enough.
