More than a tad disingenuous. The whole basis of this thread is the so-called meanminded and vindictive action of the Allams switching broadcasters. This fail , on the behalf of Viking, is clearly beeing seen as an extension of their decision in that 'it didn't happen with RH.' So yes, there is implied blame; why bother denying it.
Agreed. I work with technology and rely on the principle that it breaks and requires solutions. We have a thread dedicated to the frailties (and strengths) of communication, nowts perfect.
It does seem rather likely that had RH remained in control of the commentary, that there would indeed have been some commentary yesterday. Like every game for the last 30 and more years. Then it goes to another broadcaster and... Just the facts aren't they.
Can you try and maintain the standards you expect from others; blaming the Allams for what, switching broadcaster or having a faulty ISDN line? If you have read my posts on this thread, which I know you have, then you would understand that I don't believe switching broadcasters is something to apportion blame to, just a commercial decision borne from relationship, rather than performance or financial drivers. I only know what Viking have issued about the ISDN - do you have more? **** happens and it's certainly not a big factor in criticising the Allams and feeds, in my opinion, the argument of the apologists in demonstrating a desperation of the anti-Allam faction to bad mouth the Allams on the flimiest of reasons. Sad really.
Radio Humberside run outside broadcasts every week, often from the middle of nowhere (Phil White's been doing his afternoon show from a bus travelling the whole of East Yorkshire for the past few weeks). The reason they can broadcast, where others can't, is precisely because they have the equipment required to do so. That's why, in all the years they've been doing it, they're not missed a commentary. Highlighting Ehab's petty, vindictive and counter productive actions is perfectly reasonable and fully deserved.
Not to mention withdrawing from the Championship broadcast rights. Meaning our expats can't view. The ****s them.
Agreed, fortunately technology doesn't always dictate a monopoly. Again, agreed, to an extent; but let me ask you something. If someone you were paying, or in some form of partnership with - to promote your business - chose to use another aspect of their business to criticise you, would you not consider your options?
If someone was critical of my business and that criticism was justified, I'd act to rectify what I was doing wrong, as I'm not an idiot.
Then I would explain why it wasn't justified, but Ehab's knackered on that front, as it was entirely justified.
Fair enough, they are both sound hypothetical answers, but we both know they don't deal with the reality that is the nature of the Allams and that is what faces any opposition to their ownership.
Every now and then a poster who you thought you knew going by what they post suddenly swings in direction you wouldn"t expect. This time it"s Fez. Becaue the Allams have done so many ****ish things that makes them ****s. No matter what they do now it will be seen as ****ish thing to do. They made that bed and now they are stuck with it.
I think, and this is Dutch territory, the more you have a go and pick at every little thing and make it out it's **** **** ****ing **** it weakens the message and loses sight of a main thing to protest about. The kids day out for example was a good thing. Most people who go to city don't read this board. It makes protestors just look like nutters. Only my opinion. Anyway I've got a water slide in the garden gonna **** about with that
You could be right, anyway i have the pool just two steps from the door and a whole ocean 100 yards away. It's just a bit too hot out there right now.
This, Balkan, is exactly my point; I have absolutely no change in direction, just a balanced point of view of when it's percieved as reasonable slagging of the owners and when it becomes pointless squealing:
Just out of interest how many times have Burnsy and the BBC turned up at a game and not been able to do commentary because there was no working ISDN ? It might not have been Viking's fault but it does make them look very amateur
Given The Allams (with their amazing CV's...) main plan was to make us huge in India and the rest of the world, you'd have thought they would jump at the chance to spread the word globally
