Fulham looked a nice side, similar to last year, passed it well, were quite direct and had serious pace down the wings. We looked like a team with new players, a bit nervous, still getting used to each other. Which is not surprising. I liked the way we created chances, the display of passion from Nelson, and a quality debut from Angus. Didn't like being patient (slow) and deliberate, then still losing the ball, finishing (except Nelson), and the refereeing decisions. Martin played ok, the no penalty decision was correct (ball to hand not hand to ball), Watkins has the finishing skills of Jerome, a point at Fulham is a good result in the circumstances.
But you don't get this side-splitting mirth thing, do you. Let me give you an example of what constitutes 'hooma' on here: I say "I see Husband has arrived from Middlesbrough" And you reply "What time will wife be here?" See, simples
Anyway, sad digs at a genuine fellow fan aside (but continue to 'enjoy' folks, as I know you will) : Clear handball, and well done Wes, that's how it's done. A draw against Fulham is ok, and plenty of positives from today.
No need to trawl back into the archives, the important and totally hilarious bit was the play on the words 'husband' and 'wife'. Side-splitting hooma personified.
Yea, I was just reading that. He got Man of The Match on the score app I've got. Not sure if he was official MOTM.
Good result yesterday. A draw away to Fulham who are anticipated to challenge for promotion and against who our record is very poor is not something to be sniffed at. My only concern, which is one of the main concern I've had for a number of years and won't come as a surprise to most posters is, Martin, who seems to have the ability to convince managers / head coaches that he has the necessary ability for this level.
I am very confident that at least three posters on here DO know better than our incumbent manager ( insert date for the last three years ). Lambert, Hughton, Adams, Gunn, Neill, and now DF, are all clueless. FML for manager. You heard it here first.
