As I said I lost my stream at half time. We were lucky not to be 3-4 down by then. Only managed to get it back for last 5 minutes and we were hanging on. It sounds like we actually played a bit better in the 40 minutes I missed. Probably better if I say that Villa's poor finishing cost them 2 points.
Sounds like pressure may be getting to him after one game. Can see fans turning on Elmo soon too. They became fed up with him on the floor second half.
After a poor first half performance, which frankly with it being more or less a new team who needed to gel, 2nd half we were much better. Absolutely bussing for Jarrod Bowen to get his goal.

Slutsky asked about first game in Eng: "After 75 mins I was very tired. Maybe I am a little bit too fat and not in good physical condition."
What game where you watching. We were better second half but if you think that's enough to get us up than you're deluded. We're 7 or 8 players being able to compete, we were done down our left and we completely bypassed midfield. We had a couple of pot shots from up top which over the season might get us a goal. We'll off the pace and yes I have been in pub since 3.
Yes, I have been saying for some time that we have hardly a cornucopia, let alone a plethora, of options where strikers are concerned.
After a calamitous first half not a bad point. A bit frustrated that we took our foot off the gas once we equalised - I never understand why teams do that. We played with a bit of purpose and pace for 10 minutes and we created a few chances so then when we score we go back to playing slowly - very annoying. McGregor other than his flap at the cross was good and kept us in it in the first half. Aina looked a lot better than he did in pre-season, probably due to him being in his favoured position rather than on the left. Still look very raw and I can see him having some mixed games but an encouraging start. Dawson was bloody awful, total liability today. Passed it more to Villa players than those in black and amber. I was impressed with Mazuch in pre season and Dawson will have to up his game to keep his place. Hector looked decent after a shaky start. Good on the ball and physically. Clark did as well as could be expected, certainly wouldn't say he was a weak link although we still need a couple of left backs. Grosicki was weak defensively as usual but he looked genuinely dangerous attacking, his bursts of speed really caused Villa problems. If we can keep him and he stays focused he could have a big season. Henriksen I thought covered plenty of ground but was far too negative and didn't;t make himself available enough for the ball from defence. I was hoping for big things from him this season and hopefully he will improve. Clucas I thought was disappointing as well. Didn't control the game at all and passed sidewards/backwards far too much. No urgency from him, especially once we drew level, improvement needed. Bowen - delighted fro him to score. He's obviously worked hard over the last season to force his way in and got his reward. A little lightweight at times but he's got the ability. Hopefully will be given more chances and won't have too much pressure/expectation on him. Hernandez and Campbell both worked very hard with limited service. I hope we see these 2 play together a lot as they have the making of a good partnership and will score goals. Neither are a lone striker so need each other. Meyler did his best to give his usual free kicks away and concede possession. Though to be fair to him I don't think he's played a minute in pre-season so perhaps to be expected.
