I was pleasantly surprised at how much energy we played with, haven't seen that for a long time. I thought Honeymoon was the standout player, Mcgeady also showed he has class.

Not nearly as bad as I feared it would be.

I can't remember when I've looked forward to a new Season less, and I've watched all our relegations and this time I really was fearing the worst.

Early Season's games don't usually mean too much but the effort was there and that's a good start in this league.

As for the rest, it's up to the coaches with, perhaps, a little help from Mr Short's wallet.

Having slept on it, I remain positive about it.

We need a striker and a CB, and I'd like to have seen Khazri, but we aren't miles off and I'll take that.

As ever, we also need a left back.

I think with Oviedo, Galloway and Robson we're just about ok for LB. I wouldn't complain if we signed one but CB and upfront are more of a priority for me. Even RB is, if Jones gets injured who plays there, Matthews? Barely seen him kick a ball for us.

Pleased with the game overall, our centre backs looked fine, not too sure about the Goalkeeper, left back or centre forward, puzzled by the omission of Khazri, not to use any subs was Moyesian and worrying. But onwards and upwards with Sir Larry. <ok>

    Just a thought....

I think Galloway has come in for some unfare criticism. We all know and he admits that his best position is central defence not the left full back role.

So it would seem sensible to me to move him inside alongside Browning if Kone goes and we bring in a specialist LB as cover for Oviedo.

I also agree that we need to be a little more patient with him. It's early days and some are already on his back in social media <doh>

I couldn't make it last night but my season ticket was taken by my Mam and my lads was taken by my nephew. (Wife's birthday took priority and cooking her a meal and stuff was already planned)

I'll miss the Leeds game as well due to being on holiday but otherwise will be there every game I can make.

My lad is excited about it too. Maybe because we had more shots last night than in the last 4 months of last season!!

    Mixed feelings about last night.

Can't help but feel we chucked 2 points away. It was crying out for a change in the 2nd half. Had Khazri Gooch and Asoro warming up buy bizarrely Grayson chose to do nowt. Get the feeling he'd have took ya hand off for a draw before the match after the Celtic capitulation.

Positives, the fact we didn't fall apart after going behind. The players gave a lot of effort and we're the better team. Catts and Honeyman were brilliant.

Negatives, Galloway and Browning don't look upto it from what I've seen so far. With Kone probably off we couldn't be shaky at the back for a while.

Given that Derby are probably one or the better teams in the league it was encouraging how woeful they were.

    It really is Sunday league.

Aye, there's no danger of another relegation scrap. Just the defence is my worry. If we can get shot of kone &/or Papy so we maneuver in the market a bit we should be able sort the defence out and have a proper crack at this league. Then it's down to the depth of our squad which isn't great but hopefully injuries will be kind to us for once

Thought we did ok. Subs should of been on about 65mins because we look tired.

3 keys players sign and watmore and co back from injuries and I think top 6.
