On a serious note, if Liverpool do not beat us on Saturday with the state we are in, then **** me you lot should be embarrassed.

id be really happy with a 1-0 win, but i cant see it, i think kenny will have liverpool fired up for this one and i think they might just get something out of it, as much as it pains me to say so.

So,"1-0 to the Arsenal" and "boring boring Arsenal" is back in vogue now that Fabregas has left?

I would prefer Boring Arsenal over '****ty Defensively but nice to watch' Arsenal, as would many fellow fans.

I'm gonna stick my neck out and say 2-0, Van Persie to Score Twice.

Shame for Arsenal fans that Wenger cant get the trophy winning and the and attacking play to gel,you have some great kids but if old Arsene wants to do a Fergie with a backbone of youth like the scholes,Giggs,Ratboys,Beckham era at OT he needs to splash the cash on a few experienced older heads and mix it up.

    But i hope he does'nt.

The frustrating thing was the experiment ALMOST worked.

05-06 final, if Lehmann had been yellowed and the goal had stood, I think we would have won.

07-08, The Eduardo injury made morale so low that we just gave the premier league away.

09-10, Came so close to the league.

    10-11 Carling Cup, Obvious Reasons.

10-11 Title, Look at Gameweek 28 etc, we were like 1 point off united with a game in hand or something, with just A LITTLE determination and no cockups like against Liverpool and Spurs, we would have walked the title, and we SHOULD have. It was the biggest opportunity for an Arsenal title for a very long time.

With all due respect to AW,how long will the board and the fans back him without a trophy?

He had to dismantle his title winning teams due to age and players getting off to other clubs etc,but surely a club like Arsenal wont let the manager rest on past successes?.

I think he got away with his arrogant demenour in the past due to his being successful but he needs a reality check and soon.

Now we judge him on the fact that he has kept us in the top 4 after the stadium move. Wenger is setting the foundations for bigger things for a new manager or maybe himself if he learns.

    What 'foundations'?

A frail defence and a depleted midfield and an attack made of 1 world class player who is injury prone and the rest who blow hot and cold and decide when they want to turn up.

Foundations like having a 60,000 stadium being paid off while still making the top 4. The defence is not bad on its on own. If you do not defend like a team even the best will be made to look bad. We clearly need to work on that and buy one more CB. Stadiums moves are not simple and we have done it without falling out of the top 4 and that in the long term will be seen as very important, because it has speeded up the process of paying for the stadium debt.

Ok,Assuming he does'nt "learn" and a new manager is bought in,he will be probably high profile and full of his own importance.

AW's choice of players and AW's ways will go out of the window just like george Graham's did.

Then your back to square one,I've always liked Arsenal as a club and i've made a few mates down the years from their support, and they are'nt happy with entering the CL everyyear yet not being good enough to win it.

As an outsider i'd say this could be AW's last season at the Emirates if things go pearshaped.

Not really. Any manager with a brain will keep the core and better players Wenger brought in. Also the outstanding young players will keep developing. Then the new manager will have the funds to make his own mark on the team. And the funds he will get will be pretty big because of Wenger's hard work over these last 6 years.

Aint dissing Wengers hard work or the kids hes brought through but i think your naive to think a new manager(thats not someone promoted from within)will not do a Mancini and spend the clubs millions on his own choices.

Things are in reverse at Anfield because Kenny was our youth ambassador before his appointment and is bringing youth through as well as bringing in the new and getting rid of the deadwood.

AW said in an interview on SkySports that hes not a miser when it comes to big money signings.

he said if "in his opinion" he sees players worth £30/£40M he'll sign them.

So Arsenal has the money and Wenger has the final say,Your club could have had some great signings but AW did'nt think they were worth it.

He needs to go with the finacial flow, because if his youth only policy does'nt work he'll find himself out of a job.

I don't want to spend too much money on one player. I'd rather buy a few, for better strength in depth. Instead of buying Jagielka or Dann, why not get both?

Hes either a liar or you dont realise just how much money your club has to spend, but if AW thinks as manager no player is worth that much he lives or dies by his stance.

It means he has an ounce of common sense. Modern transfer fees are ridiculous.

Im surprised to see you feel that way mate, the Uefa Fair Play commitee are onto City now and Chelsea wont get awy with their manipulating of the rules.

Dont get me wrong your clubs owners have strict rules on everything that makes Arsenal FC funtion(including the managers transfer funds),but Arsenal are a rich club and function on the wealth they generate and instead of pandering to the corporate box dwellers should invest in new players.
