Aside from a few years back when half our team relocated to Merseyside I'm not at all sure if this comment has any foundation. And in fact, even that season was only remarkable in terms of the destination of outgoing players rather than the actual number of players leaving. I don't think there's any doubt that we are seen as a shop window and often use this fact to swing a deal our way but I think you'll find that it's the quality of players that we have signed or nurtured that is the real talking point. Which other club has let a list like Lallana, Mané, Lovren, Clyne, Shaw, Lambert, Oxo, Schneiderlin and Wanyama go? None I'd wager. You could find plenty of teams that have let more players go though so like I said, I don't think your point holds water.

 

Not we don't. We're Saints fans and we understand what we do. Clearly you don't, have only just realised, or else you'd realise you are posting the obvious. It's what we do and we do it well. This doesn't mean that we can't take a stand when we decide we want to, by telling Liverpool to **** off or pay over the odds.

 

Tbf if stuff like this was going down all the time I'd want to move there for the comedy value

 

Why do these fans from other clubs come here and lecture us when we are probably the best run club of our size in the country. I mean Charlton has been a basket case for the last few years FFS!...
