Nothing yet on Siggy , In Great Falls Montana for the weekend . Just spent 45 minutes trying to find the store I dropped the old lady at . She was none to pleased. Just got pizza and beer and wrangled a few hoots off a guy in the bar and reached the hotel in one peace ... Didn,t dare bring any across the border
But we should have put a deadline on it as a club. Told Everton that they had until Tuesday/Wednesday to met our valuation or we tell them to go away, thus allowing Gylfi to play 60-70mins against Sampadoria and prepare for the season. As it stands, we either keep Gylfi, who has had sod all pre season wise, or we will be integrating 2-3 new players, less than a week before starting the new campaign.
Sky Sports Transfer Centre STAND-OFF OVER SIGURDSSON There's a stand-off as regards the future of Gylfi Sigurdsson, according to Sky sources. Everton made a bid of £40m, plus £5m in add-ons. Swansea say there have been no further bids, but they want the situation resolved imminently. The Swans value the Iceland international midfielder at £50m. Also saying a bid for Chadli is dependant on Gylfi leaving? I'd take Chadli and Viera, but Chadli on his own isn't enough to replace Gylfi. http://www.skysports.com/transfer-centre
Like I've said , once Siggy and Swansea started to air their dirty laundry through agent , media and club circles , Everton will just sit back and reverse previous bids . 40 million with add ons should be accepted right away . It will be hard for Siggy and Swansea to move forward , rowing the same boat from here imo
Naughton-------Mawson------Fed/Bartley--------Olsson -----------------Mesa---------Leon/Carroll-------------- Narsingh/Ayew--------Viera------------Chadli ------------------------Abraham----------- That would be a very good looking midfield/front line for Southampton.
There'll be a lot of pressure on Abraham. The only time I saw him play for England U23 he didn't hold the ball up very well so we'll have to change our style of play to fit him in the team - something we didn't do for Baston.
Apologies if already posted..... http://the4thofficial.net/2017/08/s...ig-ligue-1-midfield-ace-can-clement-pull-off/
Agree. Get the right formation/style to accommodate him and I think he'll be a big success this season.
https://www.expressandstar.com/spor...8/05/west-brom-warn-swansea-off-nacer-chadli/ Chadli not for sale unless a bid of over £25m is considered. That tag could be enough to make the club push on for Viera/Seri? Chadli is worth nowhere near that.
Just back from hols boys and we are in exactly the same ****e position as we were before I went. Why we dint get someone in long before Siggy departs is beyond me as we will now have to pay a ridiculous penalty as we now will have money that other clubs will want. If the wans think Chadli is anywhere near a replacement for Siggy then they need to look at themselves long and hard. The guy is average and not fit to lace Siggys boots when it comes to talent or effort. This guy refused to go on runs at WBA as they were to hard. Vierra I would love here as the guy looks class as for Chadli I would love anyone other than us take him. Any news on anyone else coming in, o much to read through 20 odd pages. Any sign of a defender or a winger or another striker if we lose LLorente.
Just read an article title " West Brom warn Swansea off Nacer Chadi " ....at the money being talked about , where do we send the thankyou card .
Everton allegedly have not made a bid since the £30m bid last month, all the other bids have been press reports only. It is in Evertons interest to delay proceedings because as each day goes by and the season opener approachers the pressure builds on us to get the deal done, so Everton can sit back and puff on their cigars and wait. If Everton are in delay mode then we have to immediately announce that Siggy is no longer up for sale imo, if we are going to win this face down. If we don't our valuation of Siggy will decreases with every passing day the nearer the season opener gets because that pressure is going to build and build for us to act. If we don't start Siggy against Southampton Siggys valuation will plummet and continue to do so right up to the final day of the transfer window when, I'd expect Everton to proffer a bid well below our valuation. Then we'll see who flinches. We're facing each other down with dead eyed stares and we're all waiting to see whose gonna twitch first.
