With all due respect the likes of Barnsley, Brentford and to a lesser extent Peterborough sign these lads give them a chance and quadrupole their value in a couple of years. A lot better way than signing a unknown loan player from Chelsea. There's 100s of players we miss out on. Potts will be one, granted we don't a midfielder but their certainly out their. Bruce was getting it right, although it's not gonna happen till Ehab buggers off. Rico Henry is another everyone knew how much talent he had when he was at Walsall.
Whilst I agree with the concept, it doesn’t always pay off signing lower league players and then selling them on for x2 or x3 their value. Naturally, it’s in an inexact science and I’d have thought it ****s up more than it works. Likewise, signing Chelsea youth sometimes works and sometimes it doesn’t. My point was that are ‘we’ really cluttering up the City transfer thread with players, who as far as I know, have never been on our radar anyway and end up signing for Barnsley?
Yeh you have a point frustration more than anything. He's probably a bad example. But there's a lot more tripe on here than that.
Was Bruce getting it right? We could have had Odubajo for £1m the year before, instead we paid 3.5x times that. We could also have had Gray for £1m and Bentley but he passed on them all.
Decent signing if played out wide right, not for pace but excellent ball delivery along with set pieces, does have the occasional red mist problem I seem to remember. Tons of experience which we need more of with a load of youngsters.
Injuries to Clucas, Campbell, Meyler and Dawson, a couple of trips to Uruguay for Hernandez... not looking so rosey then is it like dickhead.
Might be next week. Back in Sweden apparently. This is from someone on the Facebook forum. He was right about Hector.
Yeeaaah but there were lots of things on twitter/facebook about him coming prior to his arrival. Somebody on here mentioned that we were looking at him about a week before he signed. They were technically right too. I wouldn't put full faith in Facebook.
He gone to fill up a refrigerated container with herring. He's not a big fan of the cod & chips found in E.R. chippies
So with the squad numbers released, which never really means anything, but it is curious that Hernandez has changed to 10 leaving the 9 free. There is obviously one in the pipeline...
Big assumption that. So someone said to Abel 'you can't have no. 9 because somebody else who will only play as no.9 (therefore better and far more important than you Abel) is on his way in'? Can't see that myself. Edit: unless of course Abel's on his way out and couldn't care less.
