    He is a contracted Southampton player, we can treat him as we like within the rules. Why should bigger clubs always get their way?

    Oh come on, that sounds like you not getting what you want. I don't think Southampton have a reputation of being difficult. We certainly haven't stopped Liverpool putting their hands in the sweetie jar every year.

    The whole Premier league is a stroppy playground managed by agents and ex pros whispering in the ears of players. It's a joke.

    I want Virgil to suffer....well, all the suffering a millionnaire can suffer when getting paid whilst throwing a paddy because he can't get his own way after signing a contract without a gun being held to his head. He may very well have not intended to stay here for 6 years, but I bet he thought it would be longer than a few months....because that's all the time he played after signing.

    I think the rest of the EPL should have a whip round to thank us for standing up to him.....as a representative of spoiled brat footballers.

    I think the Liverpool fans have more important issues now Lallana is out for possibly 4 months or more...
    Plus they haven't put a bid in for Van Dick, so he's obviously not going there
