Don't be too hard on him, it's obvious from most of his posts that he is not blessed with a sound intelligence.

You have to make allowances! <ok>

Complete balderdash, This is a BREXIT thread!!!

The Macron boy will be an important component in the EU negotiating team. His performance over the next few months will determine the amount of influence he can assert, don't forget he wants the UK to suffer as much as possible.

I'm not aware you had the personal authority to set the boundaries on discussions, please kindly give the forum details of your special powers.

I am afraid that through your twisted vision you seem to think that the President needs to spend his time worrying about the UK. There is already a team of experienced negotiators in place from the EU, who months ago prepared and published the terms of the talks. The fact that the UK has done nothing except play for time shows how ready they are. The longer that government continues to argue with itself about what it does and doesn't want, there is even less chance of there being time to have a decent deal, that all sensible institutions want. I suppose that you are waiting for Julie Andrews to come down from the mountains and sort out the mess that the incompetents she picked and left in charge have created.

You obviously know very little about the process. The EU negotiating team are answerable to their political masters who set their parameters. I'm sure the Macron boy is more worried about perfecting his handshake and the upcoming storm from the organised labour movement in the Autumn.

Maybe you know little about the democratic process that put together the terms that the EU have for us all to read. Meanwhile where can I read what democracy has produced in the UK?

Yes this is a BREXIT thread...

We created a France thread for the purposes of discussing things French.....

Oh and where do you have the ear of the French president so you can assert with monosyllabic certainty "he wants the UK to suffer as much as possible."

You may not be aware but the Brexit process does unfortunately involve the French.

I would suggest that the aim is that we can regulate each other without the necessity of mods stepping in.

Agreed, what we don't need is censorship of certain political information.

Anyway enough of this trivial nonsense, I'm off to the Vic to pay further homage to the great man. :emoticon-0137-clapp

Well up to you.. You seem to be doing the most to create it.. Treat people with some respect.. We have been on here for years and you come along and take pleasure in winding it all up... And you may have noticed that just about every everyone else treats each other with respect.

The problem is you and the rest of the clique do not allow political posts which do not conform to your narrow viewpoints. You only have to look at the insults brb was subjected to last week by daring to disagree. There are many previous occasions where posters have been put off by the bullying tactics of several regulars that are hell bent on dictating all discussions.

The forum is much poorer as a result. One of the worse insults recently was by you, aimed at another poster. You really are a hypocritical bore.

The whole Brexit debate has been something that has split families, communities, political parties and is going nowhere. Just look today at the newspapers from all of the spectrum and you will see that opinion has moved. Two of my friends in the UK voted to leave purely because they believed what was written on that bus. They both have frequent use of the NHS and hoped that the service they receive could be improved by the injection of funds. Of course they have found out that it was not true, and despite being Tories for the whole of their lives, refused to back the government in the last election.
Today there has been a raft of people who supported the Brexit position saying just how badly it is being handled. The idea of just repeating catch phrases is now ridiculed. Even newspapers such as the Mail and Telegraph have started to question the governments handling of the talks.
Now this forum is no different. There are people from both sides, not cliques, but people who have thought through the issues and come to their own individual conclusions. Most have been prepared to put forward their own thoughts, often coming from a different perspective, but not just trying to move away from the questions asked. Real honesty helps, and decrying others doesn't. What we want to hear is views based on original thinking, not comments that might be picked up from a party leaflet.

The only problem with your sanitised analysis is that Brexit opinions on this forum are not tolerated by the dominating clique. Many of your particular posts are results of you scouring the net to find any anti-Brexit news you can find, hardly original. Your two Tory friends are hardly typical, if they based their vote on the basis of one poster then they must join the vast number that lacked the benefit of the huge amount of information available.

Actually the poster gave the huge figure the UK gives to the EU and promised more funding for the NHS. Nowhere did it say the whole saving would be spent on the NHS. It may or may not have been ambiguous by design for those with limited intelligence.
